There are many sandy tracks off the highway down to the beach which lead to access points to the beach. We followed one down and had a great secluded camp amongst the moonscape features of the sand. On some maps it is called a fish camp but we saw no one. A perfect spot.

This location no longer exists. I’ve marked it as closed. The access road is washed out with 8’ deep holes. Photo attached.
There are MANY alternatives nearby, I will add one for you!
Report Check-InGreat overnight spot. Long Rocky beach. Turn off highway is slightly north of the actual spot. Compact road with erosion in spots. A little bumpy down but no problems.
Report Check-InWe didn't quite make it to the spot indicated. It was dark and we did want to risk going down on the beach during high tide. People were picking up stones from the beach to be sold in American home improvement stores in the morning. Good for a free night.
