Mexico
Clean Pemex. Beautiful view of the valley.
They asked if we would fill our tanks. We often do anyway.
Spent the night. Little truck traffic. Very safe.

Asked if we could spend the night after filling our tank. The attendant told us to set up in the far corner. Large level spot and not too bright for a gas station. It felt very safe. Shop onsite sells snacks, beer, sandwiches, and tacos. Bathrooms of moderate cleanliness costs 5 pesos. Trucks came and went periodically through the night and the music started up around 6 am.
Report Check-Ingood safe spot for free to spend night if you cant make it to Oaxaca before dark.
Report Check-InSafe clean free spot for the night. Large parking area. A car with family pulled in and set up two tents after us and left early morning. A van also set up a tent. It seems this PEMEX is known and used to overnight by Mexican families traveling across the mountain. We ate a sandwich at the cafe, took shower for 20 pesos, used clean toilets for 5 pesos, filled up diesel. Slept good.
Report Check-InExcelente lugar para pasar la noche. Te acuestas escuchando banda y despiertas escuchando rock en un gran parlante. Hay baños a $5, lugar para comer y comprar. No conseguimos wifi.
