Description

Very friendly owner! We just came to do laundry and were invited to stay all day in the heated kitchen with snacks and drinks. You will probably meet the whole family when you hang out there. In the end we parked for the night. The owner can tell you a lot about Iran. Speaks a bit English and German. He likes to see travelers. They have four rooms each with own bathroom and it's all new. We didn't see the rooms though. Don't wonder it's out of town next to the Russian base and with view to the border.

We were invited to park overnight but there is no toilet if you don't rent a room. It is a hostel and not a campground. Don't know if the owner would allow everyone to park there.

Latest Check-Ins

We cannot share the positive reviews unfortunately.
Yes the owner was very nice when we arrived and offered coffee and dried fruits.
However the next morning he asked 6000 dirham per vehicle. We were NOT using toilets or shower, only parking. This is more than people paid for (single) rooms according to the comments. It seems he becomes a bit greedy.

We had breakfast (little extra charge) fresh from and in the garden of this nice family!
We had a problem with my bike, coming from Iran, and Vahe organized a transport to Eriwan.
WiFi is ok, Irancell and Hamrahaval (iranian network) also work here :-)

Friendly owner invited us for lunch on arrival. Rooms are little bit packed with furniture, but basics are there. No AC, so it might be hot (windows open did not cool the place down a lot).

Good place to stay a night before crossing border. Whole family arrived in afternoon/evening. Children are friendly and speak some English too. Nice to have a little chat. End of the day tea with the family before going to bed. :)

As described. really friendly people.
They let us camp on our car and use bathroom.
Convenient for crossing border in the morning into Iran or arriving in Armenia late.

Report Check-In

Still open, still basic, still familiar. Okay for a night, before or after boarder crossing.

Great basic hostel just before the border. The view on the Iranian side is absolutely stunning. The room is okay, the bathroom is a bit smelly. Wi-Fi is really fast. The father of the family offered us tea and coffee all the time. He drove us also to the centre of Agarak.

Paid 8000 AMD. You can also eat here, the grandmother will cook for you (2000 AMD per person).

(+ and a lot of cats!)

Near to the boarder, very basic and no ac, but there is all you need. The whole family was there and offered us everything, its just a little bit hard as the owner speaks very little english. We could use their kitchen. Safe parking, even if im not sure if they closed the gate.

Report Check-In
