Place is nice. The staff verry unfriendly. You stay on the street, place only for 1 smal car inside. You have to pay 5000 in or outside.

Report Check-In

We could take a hot shower here for 2000 pp. A bit expensive but they were clean.

We have came here because shelter in camping Tierra Vida is much smaller. If you plan going south, you should be happy. The best campings are still before you...
It is basic camp. Wi-Fi is working, but only near buildings. Kitchen has only 2 stoves and it is all. If you need stop here, rest one night and leave this city ;)

Owner very kind, speaks very good English. Nice place for a tent, but we couldn't drive our campervan on the terrain, so we checked in at camping Tierra Viva.

We asked for a hot shower only in the morning. Agreed upon 1500pP, but only got a warm shower.

BOTOM LINE: DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS DESPERATE. Rant/Review Continued: We arrived after 8 hours of riding in very cold rain and needed to sleep inside for a change in part to get warm and in part to dry every sopping wet article of clothing. We were the only ones here. The place really doesn't function as a hostal... It's more like for 10,000 per person, you get to sleep in a guest room in the family home. BUT forget about feeling welcomed or made comfortable. You CANNOT use the kitchen adjoining the common room. You will not be told that you can use the camp kitchen (oh, because it still hasn't been cleaned up from the last guest) but you will be told where you can walk to (back out in the freezing rain) to get fast food. (Never mind the wife is going to the shop by car in 5 minutes... Pshhh. What are you thinking!!!) But if YOU want to make your freezing self some hot water for coffee, that's fine. Also, never mind that it was below freezing overnight... You will crawl out of your moderately warm bed at 8:45am to find the host used the last of the firewood last night and hasn't yet arisen to get the fire going for his guests this morning nor did he bother to bring any more wood in. (Probably because he and the rest of the family came in at 2am and were too busy talking, shouting and laughing outside of your bedroom door to remember they had guests.) I've never been so tempted not to pay. I really don't like cities, but I'm looking forward to getting back to a place where if I have to pay to stay somewhere (instead of camp) the owners at least understand hospitality. Do not recommend.

Very friendly people. We stay on there ground near the house. We use all the things from the campground. And they are very well known for the excursions, trekking around in the Pulmalinpark. Great!

Report Check-In

This campground is basically the backyard of a house that is also being used as a hostel. We paid 5000 clp per person.
Note that there aren't designated camping sites so the maximum number of tents is subject only to the land area required for putting up a tent. Read crowded!
Also take note there are only two bathrooms - one men's, one womens. the toilet and shower are together so if someone is showering the toilet is not available for use.
The fogón has a small gas stove for camper's use . During our overnight stay the countertop was covered with dirty dishes and half eaten food.
An ok place to stay for one night

Paid 5000 pp. Easy campground if arriving late into Chaiten before catching ferry / heading into parque Pumalín. Hot showers, covered area to cook / eat. Didn't ask about wifi. Parked outside and slept in the car - really only space for 3, large rigs would need to park on the street
