Much as described below. I called in at Cascada el Tucán, which seemed nice enough but wasn't really feeling it, so followed iOverlander here instead. excellent decision! A genuine pleasure to spend time with this family, whose love and warmth extends not just to each other but to their animals (at the time of my visit 2 dogs, a green parrot and two toucans!), guests and the land around them. Swamped with kindness, loved accompanying them on trips to visit local spots and sharing tasty meals with them. I had to fight to get them to accept any money at the end of my two days. Wonderful experience.
Report Check-InWe didnot stay, could not reach the place. The last 0.5 mile only for vans with high ground clearance
Report Check-InWe spent a great week with this lovely family, living a truly mexican experience and discovering the landscapes around! The spot itself is very nice with waterfalls and natural pools, all surounded by trees, plants and flowers. Closeby are mountains on one side and beaches on the other, plus many rivers and waterfalls. Polo is always pleased to show you around (for free !) and Denyse has always a typical food on the fire ready to share. Our daughter loved playing with their girls, the dogs and chickens. There is no charge for camping if you eat there (family restaurant - low price food). There are cabins to rent. We’ll be back ! (Note : no cell reception in the whole area but you can buy cheap wifi access in the village).
Report Check-InJust as described below. Very nice family you will be more than welcome there. food is excellent and Polo can guide you to the best places in the area (beach, casacadas, fishing spots). We planned to stay 1 night but stayed 4 days! I highly recommand this place if you want a real mexican stay!
