Very nice and quite place surrounded by lots of guanacos. Also Pumas, rheas and armadillos but so far we haven’t seen them at this place.
You can only stay here if you have a toilet on bord as well as a kitchen.
Highly recommend to visit Pali Aike and stay for a night or two.
Entrance fee is 5500 CLP only the adults.
The walks are nice and easy, but it’s a little bit tricky for kids to walk over the lava stones, so our six year old said.

Great Place if you have a Camper . Staff is very welcoming and friendly. You Could use the toilet whole time. Also free Starlink Internet Access.
Standing overnight is free of charge, entry now 5.500 Pesos for foreigners

Report Check-In

This is open for camping. Camping (in a motorhome) is not only allowed, but actively encouraged by the park rangers (who would love you to enjoy the park for more than just a short visit). Camping is free, except for the park entry fee of course (at the moment, only payable in cash!).

Report Check-In

Small picnic area with three small shelters. You can spend the night there if you have a vehicle allowing you to be autonomous, with WC, water, and kitchen. We had a very calm night. Awakening to the thousands guanacos.

WARNING:
Park was closed indefinitely when I got there. There was NO Sign at the turnoff from the main street, I drove the 30km gravel to be infront of a closed gate.

Report Check-In

Very nice place indeed. Rangers explained a lot about the nature here. As we have a toilet on board we may camp. Flamingo's in the lake this season. price now 4200 pesos pp.

Report Check-In

We paid 4000 Ch. pesos p.p.but were allowed to stay 2 nights ( max time you will get) with toilet on board. We recommend this park!

Report Check-In

Very interessting landscape in this well maintained park. Lots of information boards. Hikes of 25min. to 7hrs possible. The camp site has no facilities (you need to have a toilet) and not really shelter from the wind for vans. They do have little sheltered tables and sheltered spots for tents though. Friendly rangers. Navigation told us to turn right just before the customs building in Chile. This if obviously wrong, you need to drive for about 30‘ from the border to San Gregorio, from there it is well signposted.
It‘s 4000 Pesos per Person. We asked why others paid 4000.- for the car, they said it must have been a mistake. We think the price is fair for this gem.

Report Check-In

Overnight place only with the permission of the ranger. You can only spend the night with your own toilet.
You can choose your own place in the park. Completely alone and without disturbing light.
Very bad road to the park, about 30 km, and in the park.

Report Check-In

We stayed inside the park for 4000 per night for two people. We had a motorhome, with toilet, so it was allowed. Park ranger was very friendly and helpful.

Report Check-In

We stayed here one night. We asked at the park entrance if we could park here over night and it was no problem. Toilets were open all night. NO drinking water. Please keep the parking place clean...

Report Check-In

We camped next to the ranger station/info center after a day in the park with 2 other vehicles. They kindly left the bathrooms, which are nice and clean, open overnight. A herd of guanacos was grazing nearby the whole time we were there, nice place to spend a night!

Report Check-In

This is not an “established campground” the icône must be adapted.

Report Check-In

Arrived at 6pm but the was so someone on reception. I asked about parking inside the park overnight. He was fine with it since I'm self sufficient. Still 3000 pesos. On Puma watch.......

Report Check-In

We wer allowed to sleep inside the park because we have a toilet on board, still 3000pp

Report Check-In

Nice park (3000 pp). We did not ask about camping. Now open untill 20:00.

Report Check-In

Nice little park. We could do everything within the 4h they say it takes. Unfortunately it's no longer allowed (at least that's what we've been told) to camp within the national park itself even when you have a camper and you are self-sufficient. Entrance fee is still 3000 per person. WIFI is not available (at least the password couldn't be shared)

Report Check-In

With Conaf pass it's for free. Nice park and senderos.

When we arrived (Monday around 5pm) the office was closed. We parked our overlander at the camp site. Perfect places there.
And what a quiet and beautiful landscape here! Also great walks.

Report Check-In

as we have a camper (sprinter2x4) with bath and kitchen we were allowed to camp here for free. even for more nights. there are three little huts (each with a table and bench) giving some windprotection. although we had some rain it was very nice.

Report Check-In

Great little np . The ranger warned uscagainst doing the hikes to diablo with children. We found the timing overestimated and the walks easy, even fot a 5 years old. Beautiful setting for a night. Lots of skunks, especially as we did the 9km in the late afternoon.
Ranger really interacting well with children, funny as!

Report Check-In

Confirmed what was said before. The ranger wouldn't allow us to camp in the park, for the main reason we have no toilet on board. He was kind enough to let us camp next to his ranger station, so we had a little shelter from the wind. The campground is still present; we had lunch there. Entrance fee to the park 3000 pp for foreigners.

Report Check-In

Entrance fee now 3000 CHP, but it's worth it.

Report Check-In

CONFIRMED: No camping allowed.

Price is now 3000 peso per person for foreigners.

Report Check-In

The ranger told us, that the camping is no more available. The new brochure doesn't show campsites, but the sign on the site was still there. Make sure that you have exact change to pay the 1000 pesos per person.

Report Check-In

Lovely little volcanic Park. Barren and quiet. We turned up at 9pm and the ranger was hesitant to let us stay because we are not a Motorhome (4runner), but after showing him that we can cook inside, have water and bags to collect our rubbish he consented. Probably best to just go in for the day and stay without asking. Camping is free, but the only facilities are flush toilets at the rangers station (8km from the camping). They didn't take the CONAF pass, but for 1000 pesos per person it's not expensive. No potable water in the park, bring everything you need.

Report Check-In

As it is a National Park it is NOT pet friendly!

Report Check-In

The guardaparques do indeed insist that you are self-contained in terms of toilet. If you are, however, you might find you are the only one camping and have the whole park to yourself for a night. What a unique opportunity, it's a fabulous park!

Report Check-In

We where here during the day and the park Ranger wouldn't allow us to stay overnight, she said only for motorhomes, because there are no toilets in the park..??! Maybe we just had bad luck asking her ;-) but cool landscape, definitely worth a visit!!

Report Check-In

Beautiful view for sundowners! Close to the road so may not be good for overnight but only 2 cars passed during sunset.

Report Check-In

Beautiful wildlife on the drive. 2 other campers, quiet and peaceful. This was the first place we camped with a designated camping area.

Report Check-In

We were the only ones in this park. Crazy to have this much space to yourself. Wind breaks for tents and places for rigs to hide from wind. Zero amenities here, so bring in everything you need. 1000 to enter per person camping was free. A few good hiking trails over lava flows and to volcano craters, caves and lakes. Cool place if you like stark volcanic environments. Lots of wildlife also.

Report Check-In

Lovely park with nice walks. Small camping area with 3 spots. Benches with shelters. No fires. No other facilities. Free to camp. Park entrance 1,000 pesos per adult.

Report Check-In

1000 pesos each entry to the park. 3 campsites at the crater. Windy and beautiful in a desolate kind of way. There are picnic table in shelters and sheltered areas for tents. We pulled the truck in close to a shelter to use it as a windbreak.
