Mexico
After talking 5 minutes with the reception we could stay here. First they said they only offer hotel rooms for 1700 pesos and for 50% we could stay with our own camper. We needed to laugh and told tham friendly that 850 pesos is way to high for overlanders like us and we are able to pay 200 pesos maximum, instantly they agreed, nice try of tham offcourse :-D we told tham that we would add this place to the I overlander app and they could see more travelers like us comming.
The spot is in a beautifull surronded jungle and perfect if you want a peaceful quiet night with only some jungle sounds. This place is 100 times better than the Hotel Dorado that is 1.5 km South next to the entrance of this gravel road and directly on a busy noisy highway with direction Chichen Itza.

At the gate they might be a bit difficult and tell you no, but after some chatting with the reception we could stay here. Superfriendly people. You get to park at the reception where there is a clean toilet, and an interesting mural....;-)
We could use the pool and restaurant is open. Ask where, you can view Chichen Itza from a roof terrace! go there during sunset, absolutely magnificent!!
