Umshanti | Established Campground

Camping at Umshanti was enjoyable. Love the setting. Ablutions was a disappointment, definitely needs a serious upgrade.

Beautiful Campsite and nice Hosts. We have only time for a stopover now but we will be back and stay longer. Perfect place to relax at the lake.

As described, very nice, small campsite on grass and with a beautiful view over the dam. Electricity points for about 3 sites and hot water in bathrooms. Rustic, but clean and neat. Big rig friendly. Recommend

Very nice site. Close to the dam. R130 pppn (children 1/2). Electricity, warm water and WiFi (when working) included.

Lovely campsite with green lawns and a large dam. Canoes available to rent and a BBQ on the barge for a small fee. We paid R350 a night for four adults and a dog

Really nice here but avoid the weekends. 3 sites not much shade and privacy. Paid 250ppn was in our view too much.

Small grassy campsite next to attractive Buffeljags Dam. Space for about 3 camping vehicles, some shade, rustic ablutions with hot showers, electricity and shelters on sites. Boat trips and fishing on dam. Small shop on site. Self catering cabins available on same site.
