Description

Looks like abandoned fishing village, drove around area and found nobody living near by. Spoke to the fishermen at Ensenada Chica and was told area was safe, for what's that's worth.... beautiful bay, lots of files, fairly clean beach and good fishing. You'll need at least high clearance to get here we didn't need 4x4 except on the beach

Fantastic beach camping with a dozen different camp site opportunities. There is a large scuba group that occupies the larger south spot in much of May and October. Super friendly and very affordable scuba pricing. The only downside is the amount of trash/toilet paper in and around all the best camp sites.

Beautiful place but really hard to get to. I would recommend 4WD but we made it with our 2WD van - it was just a bit scary. Don't follow Google maps directions, follow the signs on the road. There is two ways to get there - the longer route is the better road. The shorter route requires 4WD. We got there on a Sunday and there were several local families camped out fishing. They all left by evening and the place was all ours. It is very beautiful and there are roads you can hike down. There are many abandoned buildings (perhaps it is a failed resort?). The diving is supposed to be great but too cold for us in December.
