Description

This beautiful lodge at lago Yelcho offers rooms, cabañas and camping. The campground is awesome. Large sites with covered table/bench combination, power, light and BBQ. Good wifi in the lodge, which has a nice lounge with a view. Wood is provided every day and included in the price. Several water faucets on the campground. Sinks for dish washing. Clean bathrooms with hot shower. Wifi and excellent restaurant (expensive!) in the main building. Hiking trails from the lodge and rental of kayaks, horse trekking etc. We paid 40.000 pesos per site (2 people with a truckcamper). The rooms and cabañas are expensive like everywhere on the Carretera Austral.

charged 10'000 pesos for a solo cyclist. perfectly fine for this price. warm shower (a bit underwhelming). power at the sites. a bit noisy with family groups/music. pay by card to the friendly English-speaking receptionist at the lodge (who can also offer a dinner reservation!!). WiFi via starlink available in the Lodge (reasonably fast). campsite caretaker friendly and also speaks good English, he came and raked my site and delivered a rubbish bin before I pitched up!

Report Check-In

15.000 per site when by bike
30.000 per site when by motorized vehicle

we splurged on this site to take showers, it was 200.000clp for two people with one tent, which was a bit spendy for us but the site was very nice and right on the lake so we felt okay about the price.
the little shelters at each campsite include a built in table, fire hearth, cooking surface, a light, and power. For us the bathrooms were clean and the water was hot, no complaints. We were the only ones at the entire campsite.

Report Check-In

We paid 35000 CLP for a campsite for three people. The previous reviews are pretty much accurate.

Report Check-In

Meh. We don’t see what all the excitement is about. We paid 45000 for 4 people and two campers to share one spot.

Washrooms are clean but dated and the showers are only very warm. You’d expect hotter for the price you pay. The camp spots are nice, shaded under the trees, and with BBQ areas. But no sights of the lake from any spot. But walk to the shore line and the view of the lake is magnificent.

WIFI only in the hotel lobby, which is VERY NICE. But it is about a 150m walk from the campsites.

It’s definitely an above average campsite in terms of services, but for the price, we’d expect more. So only stayed 1 night.

Report Check-In

Good organized campsite with about 10-15 individual sites with a small refugio with BBQ on each site. Bathrooms and washing area pretty ok. We came here to try to escape the non-stop rain. There is no other common area to cook or shelter from the rain so we ended up spending most our time in the hotel lobby which served good coffee and had ok WiFi. Beautiful spot though and with good weather the lake access must be lovely. We paid 30,000CLP for two people and a small van.

Perfect camping tot overcome 2 days with terrible rain. Good wind protection, electricity inside the camper, view on the lake and mountains. Paid 40.000 pesos for a place. There is an excellent restaurant which serves lunch and diner menu with 2 choices for starter-main- dessert for 20.000 pp. Lodge had a nice cosy lounge with wifi. Did the forel fishing for beginners, super!

Report Check-In

Spent two nights here. It’s expensive (30,000 for 3 people and a tent) but the setting is spectacular, the showers are hot, bathrooms are clean and each site has a cooking shelter. They will do your laundry at the lodge but it’s also expensive. We enjoyed the nice trail to the lookout from the lodge then had a cold beer in the lodge. Firewood was provided.

Report Check-In

We stayed at this place twice. The friendly manager says it's the best camping on the Carretera and he is probably right. We both camped and stayed in a cabin. Both were fantastic. The setting is exceptional. When camping you get a private shelter with fire place, table, benches and electricity (a safe setup). Firewood is provided. The ablution block is first class and there is wifi at the reception.
The cabins are really nice. There is a bar and restaurant too.
Campground more expensive than elsewhere (20 000 for 2) but we felt it was worth it.

Report Check-In

Very nice camping with hot water 24/7, clean bathroom, electricity, light and firewood on each site. Beautiful beach with mountain views. Reception is within hotel. You need to cross small footbridge to get there.

Report Check-In

Campers are not a problem and are allowed, We could easily fit our 6m 4x4 pickup camper on the sites.

we paid 20000clp for a site. which was a discount apparently the normal price is now 30000. But this discount came with a lot of rain.

20000 clp pn (2 adults, 1 baby and a van). We stayed here with the van, no problem at all. Very friendly receptionist and staff. You can use the common area of the hotel as well, nice fireplace. The fireplace at the site didn't work properly though. Nice hot shower, at least the ladies' ones. Dinner is 16000 for a menu, really good food. Expensive, but a nice place at the beautiful lake.

Report Check-In

Prices are negotiable. Place is beautiful. We share a BBQ with lamb for 12.000 each.

Report Check-In

Really good camping! Plenty of sinks, showers and bathrooms. Beautiful lake views, pretty sites with shelter and your own fireplace. We paid CLP 15.000 for 2 persons (probably the low season price).

Report Check-In

Very nice campsite well designed with Big shelter in a beautiful scenery. wifi was good but only available close to hotel reception. bathrooms should be better cleaned. 20000 pesos per site.

Report Check-In

Normally I wouldn’t pay for camping but another fellow bike tourer was paying for a site and sure there is more than enough room for two tents (probably you can fit 4 and in some sites even 5). The site is 15,000 regardless the amount of people. Hot showers and electric plugs at each site. WiFi is not good and only at the hotel. They say it’s because there are too many people there at the moment.

Report Check-In

Stayed on Campground with my bike. Dirty bathrooms, all 4 soap dispensers for hand cleaning were emtpy, hundreds of dead insects everywhere, cold water. Paid $15.000, 2 people on 2 tents, with bicycles. Outside area is nice: nice big table, electricity, etc... Slow WiFi only on Lodge reception.

Report Check-In

Great campsite with multiple spots (all size and each equipped with shelter, table, bench, fireplace and electric plug) just besides the lake. Showers were hot and great Wi-Fi near the reception (campsite not covered). I paid 10.000 pesos for one person and a tent. Only issue, no elctricity (probably because of the period).

Report Check-In

as there was no one un the lodge neither in the camping, they let us come with our motorhome : 10 000 pesos for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids)
password for wifi :

The prices here are negotiable for camping at least. I paid 10.000pesos for 1 person. They wanted 20.000pesos but it had been a rain storm all week and visitor numbers were low so they said they'd take my 10.000peso offer. The campsite itself is great. The firepit is awesome and I was able to dry all of my clothes and enjoyed hanging out with some neighbors. If you're solo it's pricey but in a group this is a baller campsite. I treated myself after some rough weather patterns : )

Report Check-In

They didn't let us stay with our motorhome. They have ONLY a campingareal for TENTS :-(( no campingcars no motorhomes etc.

Report Check-In

The campsite is awesome. Beautiful views of the mountain range and glaciers, big rigs, amazing BBQ and quiet. Showers had hot water only in the men's showers but that is a minor point

Report Check-In

We were quoted $30,000 for a site - it's a lovely spot, but really too expensive if you're travelling with two. The bathrooms were average for the price - no toilet paper or hand soap on offer.

Report Check-In

Price for Jan high season 20000 CLP for a site! No bueno.

Report Check-In

We got here before they were open for the season so we paid 5,000. They unlocked the bathrooms for us but showers cold. Beautiful spot and really nice lodge with good wifi. Friendly staff. To check in the GPS may take you down unmarked road if driving from north, main entrance another 200 meters.

Report Check-In

This place was not yet open for the season when we arrived, but they let us stay here anyway. We didn't have access to showers (because they weren't open yet), but we were able to use the toilets and the wifi in the lodge. Paid 10,000 pesos for 3 of us to camp in our van.
