Camping in the largest Joshua Tree forest in the US...so the sign said. Just spectacular. Good rocks to climb to watch the sunset, nearby trails to hike and easy access. The Mojave Cross is at the entrance and there is camping at the base of the cross as well. The access road has a number of pullouts to camp in as well.

It doesn't get more perfect than this. A little chilly when the sun goes down.
Report Check-InGreat, level camp site. Fire pit but no facilities besides copious Joshua trees and boulders. Off the main room and private. Some other spots around but can’t see or hear anyone. Road to site is doable for most vehicles.
Report Check-Ingorgeous sunset and sunrises here. Lots of Joshua Trees, but most burned in the 2020 Cima Dome fire. area passable by 2WD but there are a couple of nasty bumps. passable, but may bottom out.
Report Check-InCamped at the base of the cross with a 33’ Motorhome. 3 other places I could have parked at as well. Very nice spot for a night or two.
Report Check-InVery nice place to camp! Super quiet at night and very windy in the morning. We camped at the base of the cross, which was easy to get to in our 2x2 RV! Two fire rings and two picnic tables, and possibly some more campsites further down the road.
Report Check-InSeveral areas to park... enter by the cross parking lot. Accessed just fine in our van.
Very quiet at night.
Beautiful place to park for a night or 2. We arrived at dusk so we didn’t venture too far but it seems like there are a few additional spots to park in on a smaller dirt road.
There are picnic tables as well just at the bottom of the Mojave Cross.
