The road is closed indeed but you can reach Pardelas as I did. Rent a bicycle in town and ride through the sands, get sweat, reach to the cliffs and then jump in the freezing sea. It totally worth the ride, awesome day for us. We even swom with a sealion.
Report Check-InLitlle paradise...
there os a shop in a tent for some product of base.
Take care there is sand on the road with hole...sometime...!
Take your shovel....it's better...!
OK for big rigs but slowly...
A lot of people when we was here.
Enjoy
As discribed. Busy in JanuAry with locals. Even generators. After island roud trip went to the place nextdoor.
Report Check-InWe spent 2 nights between Christmas & New Year. Very busy at this time!!
The road to there was very sandy, but we made it with our 2wd vw-bus, thanks to lowering the pressure in the wheels.
Lire the official campground is close, we are all here. A lot of wind. Free. No facilities.
Report Check-Inwe parked here along side a sea of campers and camping trailers etc. was very windy but safe and quiet
Report Check-In👍🏻👍🏻
Lots of locals stay here. Some for 6 month!!!
So... dont worry about the Rangers.
Nice spot to stay for a while. To get there you have to take very bumpy road, sandy at the end. Many flys and windy from evening till morning. We saw no whales.
Report Check-InStayed hete for one night, there were about a dozen motorhomes. Awesome place to stay. Imagine seeing a right whale swimming by when you open the door of your van in the morning; that's this place!
Report Check-InReally nice place, we stayed for five days and saw whales and sea lions every day. The weather changed a lot we were wearing bathing suits one day and winter jackets the next. Sometimes gets very windy. Many people come to camp here, so sometimes it gets crowded, especially at the end of the week. No bathroom, no facilities.
Report Check-InMany Overlanders, seems to be ok to camp here, local people also stay overnight. Great views, great sunset, if you are lucky you will get to see whales or sea lions in the bay. No facilities. Bumpy 'road'. Very windy depending on weather. No shelter except for the cliffs on one side. Safe travels!
Report Check-InWe stayed here for two weeks. We paid for the ticket 330 Pes. p/p. It is valid only for one day, but everyboy stays longer without problems and no extra charge. Some are here for month. We could see wales every day, its very exiting. Bring all what you need with you, there is nothing here. Next small shops in puerto piramides 15 km. Don't drive into the park with a weatherforecast "rain", the road is very, very slippery there, even with a 4 wheel drive car.
Report Check-InGood spot to see whales. We saw them just a few metres from shore. We didn't camp here as it was extremely windy and also very busy with large overland vehicles.
Report Check-InBusy with lots of overlanders and locals camping. Great whale watching at end of October.
Report Check-InA rodent got inside our 4runner and ate a banana off our front seat whilst we slept. Not sure how this information is helpful to anyone (who knows how you keep them out!), but at least you will know what that strange rustling sound is in the night...
Report Check-InJolie plage calme ou se retrouvent les motors home de passage, prevoir tout car il n'y a rien que le calme le serenite et la securite
Report Check-InA little crowdy. but now they have a realy dirty toilet (no water) and a container for trash. Use the other spot about 2 km away. On both places now camping is leagal. We asked at the visitor center.
Report Check-InWe came here on a holiday weekend at the height of Argentinian summer vacation. Judging from the hundreds of locals in RVs, tents, and trailers with their direct TV satellite dishes, huge bbq stations, speedboats, kayaks, dogs, and weight lifting stations in this bay, on top of the hill, and the next bay over closer to town, there is absolutely no problem camping here. Locals we've talked to who have stayed here already for a week or more confirmed that it's totally fine as long as you don't leave trash behind. We spent a night in each of the bays and had a good time. Punta Pardelas seems more wind protected.
Report Check-InCompletely packed with trailers, motorhomes and tents while we were here. Good free bonndock spot in the park. The ranger told us it was ok to camp here. Lots of people brought their dogs here too!
Report Check-InBeautiful beach, calm water, no shadow. Lots of overlanders. Friendly and safe. Pinguins and sea lions!!! Bring water, leave the shells and take you trash with you ;)
Report Check-InThe2Dutch. Fantastic place. We stay here 2 nights in the weekend and Some families came with children to swimm and BBQ. For us Nice to see. The whole day we saw the whales.
Report Check-InThe guy at the park entrance told us that when we leave the park, we would be asked for a ticket from our accommodation to show that we had stayed in a permitted location. At the rangers office we asked if we could park up at this point. They said that many people camp there but it was not recommended. We stayed there anyway and expected to have to explain ourselves when we tried to leave the park with no accommodation ticket, but they just waved us through the gate without stopping.
Report Check-InVery relaxing place to stay! Stayed here 3 nights and loved it. Lots of other overlanders here too. The whales come and go while we enjoy the view. Free!
Report Check-InWhen we were here there were about 10 other folks camped out so this definitely seems like a legit spot. Great beach views and nice breezes. Only amenity is a trash can. Only downside was lots of flies buzzing around. I don't think pets are allowed in the park but there were a bunch of dogs running around on this beach.
Report Check-InQuite busy in summer with a lot of Argentinians camping here but there's enough space! Calm at night (and that's on a Friday). There's a nice pebble beach and a Cliff from which you can jump into the water!
Report Check-InThe Rangers at the visitor centre said we could free camp here. Mind you it was very busy with lots of holidaying Argentinians. No facilities. Free.
Report Check-In- free
- semi-legal, camping is officially not allowed in the park except the official campground
- no amenities, but very pretty
- totally calm at night, except for the whales snoring loudly :)
nice spot at the beach, many whales can be seen here in season
