Decent place for one night on your way to (or from) Grand Canyon or driving along I-40. A side road makes a loop from and to R66 for just about 200-300m. There is some vegetation so you can’t be seen from R66. Nothing fancy and no amenities yet ok. Quiet as traffic is limited. Suitable for towed vehicles or bigger rigs as well up to 5th wheel size. 5bars LTE with AT&T

Nice road side turn out, was a few of us using this location when I posted this, but it’s just now sundown. Gravel road runs for a few hundred feet most spots that are mostly level are not viewable from the road.
Report Check-InNice place to stay for a night. It has some road noise and I think I heard trains. Somebody dumped a lot of trash over the side which is sad. PIPO ( Pack in pack out).
Report Check-Ingreat camping spot off rt 66.
can fit big rigs,we were alone, as mentioned train horn in the distance and the road isn't too busy
great spot would recommend. you can hear the trains horns in the distance but not too loud. minimal traffic at night on 66. this spot and the next spot are just the two ends of the same pull off loop which is about 400m long. please bury your toilet paper...we left a shovel at the fire pit for anyone who needs it.
Report Check-InPerfect spot for the night when running out of daylight.
Really close to route 66 but not much traffic so really quiet, there's ring to have a campfire also good internet connection.
Large open spots with plenty of places to camp. Not terribly rough, cars and vans would be fine.
Verizon had had 1 bar in some areas. Barely had service.
Report Check-InGreat spot. It was peace and dark night sky with exception of amazing moon and stars. Thanks for sharing! It was Peaceful and slept great! However, like in many spots people left all kinds of trash. However, I spent a little time and cleaned it up😊 so it looks great when you arrive. Also there is a small fire ring just past the large tree.
Report Check-InQuick and easy. Best part is that it’s far enough from the freeway to avoid the road noise.
Report Check-Inperfect for the night due to high winds grinding us for the day! Quiet, private and beautiful views.
Report Check-InJust as described, Easy pull true for maybe 3 rigs. A lovely sunset, Quiet all night and a nice sunrise as well. It’s a little ni level but we didn’t even bother using a leveling block. We would recommend this for a single night stay!!
Report Check-InParked on side of road with slides out. Very quiet night, just two pickups. There is a decent camping area for smaller rigs visible on satellite map at the east end of the road. We parked on the street across from it with our big rig, just off the road. Some mud at the back of the camping area so we steered clear.
Report Check-InCrookton Wild Camp spot. Nice, flat, quiet side road loop to boondock off route 66. Nice greenery to obscure you from the road. Somebody has even made a fire ring of rock to have a fire. There is room for a few rigs and/or large RV and trailer. No amenities.
Report Check-InPull out at end of the guardrail going East. Trash over the edge, but not bad at the top. Mt Humphries visible from the site. Quiet.
Report Check-InFine place for the night. You do hear train whistles throughout the night however. 66 is pretty quiet overnight.
Report Check-InLittle side road off the main Route 66. Elevated above the existing road with a nice view to the north and east. Very little traffic on Route 66 at night but you can hear trains in the distance.
Secluded mostly from the road and it is a loop track. Suitable for towed vehicles or bigger rigs as well up to 5th wheel size.
