Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
This is no longer a parking lot, it has been changed to a multi-floor parking garage. We pulled in and asked to stay for the night, and were told it was $100. We parked up on the very top floor in the back corner... Private and a good view.
2:30am we were woken up by a security guard. Once he realized we were sleeping in the van he apologized but said he would be back in the morning.
8:30am he knocked on our van again. Turns out it is the head of security, and we are not supposed to be staying here. We explained that we paid yesterday and he apologized profusely... Apparently it is free to park here, and the guard was just trying to make a quick buck.
It is free to park, and the vehicle can stay for as long as you need, including overnight. But you are not allowed to stay overnight in the vehicle.
EDIT TO ADD: We had a very uncomfortable (possibly unsafe) interaction with the head of security after writing this. Don't trust him, he's not as friendly as he seems.
Report Check-InWe parked on top floor, had a decent veiw felt safe and we where left alone. Charged $100 pesos for night no one bothered us.
