Description

Due to our lack of understanding the Spanish language we mistook campestre for camping and asked the restaurant for camping. They said ok after an internal discussion in the kitchen. Camping was free. The restaurant is in a lake and we camped on the lakeshore with our tent and the motorcycles out back with us too. There was space for small rig out front. Toilet is no running water in restaurant but you add water from a bucket into back of toilet. No internet or electricity. As camping was free we ate dinner at restaurant and the fish was good and from lake behind restaurant. We are unsure if this was a one time deal or if camping will be allowed in future

Latest Check-Ins

We asked the staff if it would be okay to spend the night, they were not really interested but friendly and allowed it.
Beautiful place with a great view.

Arrived here after sunset and just needed a pit stop. Restaurant wasn’t open but the owner was super friendly and didn’t ask for any payment. We bought a few beers from him and enjoyed sitting on the lake watching the stars. Bathrooms available and grassy flat land to park up - big rig friendly, good swimming spot in the lake.

splendid view over the lagune. you can take the canoe and help the boys fishing and catch your dinner. we asked to camp here and we ate here. the dinner was very delicious (110pesos for the meal). no running water, but the friendly woman, who works here, gives you water. chickens and peacocks are here, too. wonderful place!

Not sure how long this will last, but we camped for free in back of the restaurant. Stayed for breakfast and they brought it right out to our Vanagon! Great place, on the lake, with peacocks, a few chickens and one heck of a view. At mile kilometer marker 52 right on 186.
