leave hwy 36 to the north, go on a forest service road, called "wilson lake road" up to the lake. easy access, many spots next to the road and down by the lake available. realy quite!
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We tried this spot but it was roped off for “restoration”. The lake was pretty much overgrown and not very pretty. We could not locate all of the other “sites” so we tried someplace else.

Report Check-InGreat spot, quiet road, no one else here. The meadow is roped off but plenty of camp spots. Poor area for Starlink connectivity.
Report Check-InNice spot by what is a pond. ATT had 1 bar, lots of burned trees from the fire last year. Two of the spots were roped off for the meadow to regrow. One or two spots for camping.
Report Check-InUm, what lake? It was more like a little marshy pond when we arrived, so we didn't stay.
Report Check-InBeautifu peaceful serene spot next to the lake, couple pull outs, 1 bar ATT, easy access
Report Check-InI did not stay at the spot marked on here, rather another spot closer to the entrance since all the good spots were taken.
There are several spots along the road leading in if the lakeside spots are taken.
Just be aware that it is buggy throughout the area due to the lake.
There was 1-2 bars T-Mobile in one spot on this road (where the trees are downed), although no place to pull off for the night.
Good spot for a stop on the way to Lassen. It was only a 15 minute drive to the southwest entrance from here.
Report Check-InFound a level spot pretty much right on the lake after passing several downed trees that have been cut with very narrow passages. We were towing a 27 ft trailer and believe we were the first people in a long while that have come through with a camper. We made it through but there was definitely some slow stressful moments.
Lots of downed trees from the fire but still beautiful. The trees seemed to have taken most of the spots near the lake but there also was no one else here on the Sun afternoon we arrived.
Report Check-InWilson “Lake” is a generous term. Maybe it’s because it’s a dry year, but it’s very green. I’d call it Wilson meadow/bog. Signs say the meadow is private property —look but don’t touch?
Couple of dusty parking spots close to the dusty road. The obligatory crap wipes left in several places.
Great spot right on the lake. Not too far off the main road, easy access for a 30' RV.
Report Check-InWilson Lake Road is a dirt road. Early April it was covered in snow and inaccessible. Juniper lake was also inaccessible from snow.
Report Check-InSeveral nice spots in the forest. Unfortunately, there were many mosquitoes :(
