Description

Multiple vans parked overnight, great river to take a shower and meet new people, there are picnic tables too and a little fire spot. One of the best places in Whistler to park! The view is great. Parking lot with access to Garibaldi park trailheads.
Just a heads up:
- No toilets/porta potty
- No garbage bins
-The roads past the bridge become very steep and aren't recommended for anything over 20ft. Heavier rigs should park at the entrance area.

Very nice spot. Indeed a lot of other vehicles. We went a tiny little further in the forest as it was packed.

Report Check-In

great spot for the night. lot of campers. very pretty. would recommend

Report Check-In

Good spot for the night after a day in Whistler. The lot was full so we stayed in the little pulloff down the hill. Nice and quiet, only several vehicles drove by, giant mosquitoes.

Report Check-In

Not my favorite. The large dirt lot behind the bridge had multiple RVs that looked like they stay there semi permanently. Went to the right towards the paintball thing, over the hill following the powerlines and the creek. Found a spot but again several trailers and RVs that made this their permanent home with hose and pump in the creek etc. It was okay for a night but I wouldn't recommend it for anything more.

Report Check-In

Great spot and a close drive to town. Super quiet no road noise and nice sound of the river

Report Check-In

Pretty much what everyone said, just a wide junction at the road. Everyone is respectful and quiet, but we are very much jammed in here, like bugs under a rock. Arrive early for best choice. We arrived at around 5pm and the place was already filling up. In fact by morning, we were surrounded. All in all, it was useful and quiet, but oh so popular!

Report Check-In

I’ve stayed here a few nights as it seems to be the only good option in Whistler. It’s alright but expect it to get busy especially after the sun sets so if you need privacy this is not the pace. On the highway side there’s some benches so a great spot if tenting. On the other side of the bridge is a big gravel area that I’ve seen fit as many as a dozen + rigs. Nice view.

Report Check-In

seems to be the busiest spot around Whistler, water is a bit loud. nice and flat

Report Check-In

Many folks just park at the entrance lot near the bridge. It is quite busy with cars coming and going. We went left at the paintball sign and drove up to find a more private spot. About 1km up the hill there's a larger pulloff to the left, but I highly recommend against driving up here unless your vehicle is 4x4 or quite small. The steep 18% grade and many potholes make this inadvisable for most larger rigs. I explored the area over by the paintball sign and found that it was also extremely steep and narrow. Overall not the best spot but seems to be one of the only viable options in the area.

Report Check-In

Lots of other folks all boondocking. 2 bars Verizon. Pretty view of the Mtn.

Report Check-In

flat spot to stay overnight. lot of van were there

Report Check-In

Many flat spots dispersed along the FSR. Also the road to one of Garibaldi entrance. Really near Whistler.

Report Check-In

No issues while camping here. it is a very busy place. if you don't like people don't stay here.

Report Check-In

Been living there ON/Off for a year now, great place to park. Just note that there’s no toilet or garbage.

Do not hesitate to go further down the road for more private space

Report Check-In

Road towards paintball is partly covered in snow, partly flooded, i.e. not really accessible without 4x4. The space around is extremely unlevel, just so you're aware.

Report Check-In

I confirm... mises. been here for 5 days and days we found mouse pop in the van... be aware of that!

Report Check-In

Stayed here for over a week in the winter with no issues. Didn’t go down the road as it isn’t plowed, but stayed in the lot just after the bridge. Lot can get a bit snowy/slushy - a few ppl got stuck but managed. Lots of other vans here. Best place close to Whistler.

Report Check-In

Mice!! Mice everywhere! Was sitting in my front seat and watched a mouse slide down the front of my windshield. I popped the hood since it crawled into there and found two more on my engine. Beware!!

Report Check-In

OK for one night
Pulled in on a Thursday around 3pm and because of the rain & potholes, there was so much water everywhere and the white vans, covered in leaves that look like they’ve been here a while, were in all the dry spots.
I parked just before the bridge in the gravel parking area with a couple other vehicles that pulled in much later. The road was noisy during the day but heard nothing at night (had earplugs in).
I took the super potholed road (to the right) but due to the storm, didn’t feel comfortable staying anywhere because of all the electric poles/equipment. However if you don’t mind, there is a gravel lot near the end. Little bit of trash.
I drove down the left for a little bit a lot seemed to be taken by trailers that people had left. This road seemed to be the more rocky & steeper of the two.
Very busy all day with lots of traffic in / out of the Garibaldi Park area. But it’s FREE! :-)

stayed for a night. A lot of vans slept there too. Very good spot for a night !

Report Check-In

Good spot just out of Whistler for an overnight stay. Got pretty busy but there are plenty of spaces, and the river is nice for a swim

Report Check-In

Good spot, very busy for overnight and a lot of trucks and pickup passing by in week days.

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay a few nights. Lots of people park there as it’s illegal to sleep in you véhicule in Whistler (100$ fine if you get caught), the river is perfect for a quick shower

Report Check-In

This location is on Crown land which means you may stay for maximum 14 days. No bathrooms, no outhouses, no pit toilets and a busy place...

Report Check-In

vraiment belle place, je suis resté 5 jours. tente ou van parfait avec un petit feu sur le bord de l'eau. Il y a quand même beaucoup de gens! 😊

Report Check-In

Excellent spot, stayed for two nights over a long weekend. Lots of other people here, tenters by the river and vans/rvs parked in the lot or along the road up towards the paintball entrance. On the road there’s a few pullouts with fire pits. Very quiet and people were respective of packing out trash and keeping the place accessible.

Report Check-In

Has mentionned, very popular. The
gravel road was very bumpy so we didn't try it.

Report Check-In

North of Green Lake exit highway 99 at Gravel Pit Road - cross the bridge over the river - junction of Gravel Pit & Riverside Drive - room for several campers - need some levels for the fiver

Report Check-In

Good place, but popular. Come early to find a levelled spot. Suitable for large vehicles close to the intersection (just across the bridge), vans in each of the pullouts, and tents close to the river. There are trails and MTB routes passing by so you won’t be alone.

Report Check-In

Good spot as mentioned especially if staying the night before a hike to Wedgemount Lakes. As mentioned LOTS of other overnight campers.

Report Check-In

Great to stay near Whistler. Lovely spot with a river and A LOT of other campers. A few left again cause they couldn’t find a spot. I believe you can also just follow the gravel road further in and there are probably more spots.

Report Check-In

Nice area not too busy plenty of people staying the night and had no trouble

Report Check-In

Nice place by the river. A few picnic tables next to the river, and some man made fire pits. A good amount of parking spots

Report Check-In

Very nice area except that I arrived at 8pm and it was PACKED! I had to drive pretty far on the dirt road until I found a pull out with just enough place for my car, but no room to hang outside despite the heatwave.

Report Check-In

Nice place near to the river. Few campsites. fire rings. No water, no toilets. One site with pic nic tables.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for a night. There was over 10 other camper staying here overnight. We didn't have any issues but note that it's still before peak season.
