Description

Nice treed rest area good for a peaceful night's sleep right off Hwy 16 Eastbound. There is ample room, 2 outhouses sanidump & garbages. Train track in the field behind, but only 1 train came through around 9pm last night. ***I see google maps takes you into the park, when coming from the west, down a road that's no longer in use. To get into the park now take the road, off highway 16, just to the east of the park, then quick right and through the gate.

A Hidden Gem in an otherwise barren stretch of highway. Go read the plaque in person, great snapshot for whom the park is named.

Great place ! One of the best rest area i saw !
Quiet, peaceful, We are alone and hidden by trees. Road are noisy at day but more quiet at night. Train on the morning only (9 am).
Clean pit toilet, many garbages… just missing table picnic.

Lots of room for big RVs with nice loops for turning around. If you google Dr Bicum Park it will get you close to where you need to turn off 16.

Google maps takes you in the wrong way. The only way in is to turn south off highway 16 just on the east side of the park, then a quick right. See orange arrow on map picture.

This is really a beautiful boondocking spot. Certainty some room for bigger rigs and lots of room for smaller rv's. Tons of big trees to camp in, and some open spots if you need sun for solar. Portable outhouses and garbage. The grass was nicely cut when we got there. 25 minutes from Saskatoon. We are full timers so will spend some time here.

Very quiet place. Only one train in the morning. Just us and the deer. We always use this spot to a free overnight when we're in the area

It was quite but sadly there is no one to maintain this spot. Branches are hanging down so if your rig is tall beware. Pit toilets are closed permanently. Was told the spot west of Lanigan on the north side of the highway was a nicer spot.

Had a nice stay here for the night. No one else was here. Three trains went by. saw an amazing sunset.

Note. As you turn right off of the hi-way, immediately turn right again, this will lead right into the sight.

Pit toilets were closed.

Really, really peaceful spot. While laying in bed, we watched a train pass by, as well as a little baby fox. Would definitely recommend!

Just as Glen discribe it. Super endroit avec toilette et place pour vider réservoirs, nous étions seul au monde. Le seul point négatif, le train passe derrière le parc, avis aux sommeils légés.

Can’t believe this place exists. 50km east of Saskatoon on hwy 16. Beautiful trees spot with room for many campers. Garbage cans, clean portapotties and even an RV dump station. No water with the dump station just a hole in the ground but when you need it…. Between 16 and the rail line but all evening two trains and they blow their whistle a ways away. Hard to find but just a few hundred metres east of “Combine World”. The site is on the south side of the highway immediately off the gravel road. No signs indicating no overnight. Looks like they welcome it.

Wonderful place with lots of trees and very quiet, near the main road. Can accommodate many rigs, big ones with no problems. No trains during the night. One of the best spots for me!

This nicely treed area is open again. It appears the maintenance crew has empty trash cans etc. Great spot for picnic or overnight.

Nice spot for an overnight break. Nothing special but it's much nicer than a Walmart parking lot.

Nice small picnic grounds area surrounded by tall trees. Right off the highway and easy to find. It's inside the only grouping of trees in the immediate area. It was closed this time of year; see photo.
