Plenty of other great spots all along this road with pullouts and fire-rings. , several campgrounds but you must first get a free permit here at the main estancia. In season the camping permits may be obtained at the hut at the entrance.

Same experience here. People at the tea house told us permit is not necessary anymore. They only thing they worry about is fire. Untill march no fire permitted anywhere.

Report Check-InWe payed 650 pesos p.p., had a guided tour and hot chocolate with cake for 220 pesos p.p. in the tearoom. Two days later we returned to vitite the museum which is included. They told us there is a tour at 11am. At 11.15 someone came to tell us, we had to wait untill a boat with other people will arrive. There was no boat to see. Seems, there was no motivation to give us the offered tour. Disappointing, bad and unpolite service!
Report Check-InDidn’t stay at the campsite but visited the estancia ($490 pp). Museum was fascinating with some really rare skeletons and a very interesting tour given by a biology student doing field work there. Tours run at 11:00 and 15:00. Tour of the estancia was also really interesting, very passionate tour guide! She took us all through the reserve explaining history of the family, the natives and nature. Tour at 12:00. Hotchocolate and cake at tea house $160. In my opinion worth a visit. WiFi at teahouse.

Report Check-InIt's difficult with a motorhome with 6.8 meters. didn't stay because at the lake the places are very wavy. 4x4 no problem.
Report Check-InLa Estancia Haberton cuya entrada cuesta 290 pp, no vale la pena ser visitada, ni siquiera el museo. Es un lugar sin interés y si lo que se busca es acampar no hace falta pedir permiso, basta con recorrer la carretera RP33 y encontraran infinidad de sitio muy lindos, como ejemplo,

I stopped only to see the museum and visit the Estancia. Price is 290 pesos now. Coffee and cake at the tea house for 100 pesos. Everything is overpriced, but I wanted to support the Estancia after camping in their free campgrounds for a few nights. They will share their wifi with you if you ask nicely and say you're camping.
