Up the hill in NF Road 55 is a nice spot on top of the hill. The last few meters are quite steep, but doable with a high clearance 2WD vehicle.

We were camped here but a worker from Wearhouser came and said it was private property and camping isn’t allowed.
Report Check-Ingorgeous place, several spots to camp sites are quite far apart so it feels private. Low key when we were here and quiet. wild black berries and raspberries were a bonus.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot with a perfect view of sunset over the ocean. Can get a bit rocky as you make it towards the top but did fine in my rav4 awd
Report Check-InBeautiful spot. When you're heading East on this road, you'll get to a big flat cemented road that is big enough to do a 3 point turn to turn around - Keep Going about 1 minute East, and you'll see a dirt road on your right. The road will take you up the mountain to an area that has been cleared and has grassy plains areas.
A 2wd suv can get here with some momentum but tire puncture may occur if you have street tires. Many rocks on the floor so proceed with caution.
Report Check-InThis site is awesome and felt private and safe. I’d say you need 4WD to get up to the site but the view of the sunrise over the mountains is incredible. The off-shoot of the road to get to the site is past where the GOS coordinate said it was on the road, but just keep driving east for a few hundred feet and you’ll see it.
Report Check-InPull of that I found is a little before GPS coordinates. Lovely little spot at a trailhead with a fire pit. Absolutely ZERO Verizon service.
Report Check-InBeautiful view of three mountains and ocean. We got here around 10pm on a Wednesday night and there were 2-3 cars already camped. Great view of the ocean and mountains in the morning
Report Check-InBeautiful spots, amazing views. The road once you turn off the main forest service road is steep. There were at least 4 sites on the way to this one that don’t require as much up hill. There was a nice fire pit and gorgeous view of the mountains. Would recommend!
Report Check-InWe made it in a 2wd , good view of the mountains and ocean. like previous comments said a bit steep at the end keep on the gas till you make it to the top. Room for 3 cars/van, nice trees and rock fire pit. would not recommend a big rig.
Report Check-InNice spot. View over forest. Accessible with high clearance 2WD vehicle.
