Wild camp site next to the Highway. Far enough in order to avoid noize. Haul on the gravel road but we had a small car and we didnt have any issue.
we found some wood to start a fire but there is no tree.
Beautiful view on a glacier with the sun until late.
Big enough to have lots of cars!! And tents.

Several sites in the flat valley between Phelan Creek and Gulkana River, starting east of the pipeline and about 1 mile from the highway, along the badly potholed gravel road to the Gulkana Glacier. One bar of Verizon 4G service if you hold your breath, likely from the tiny settlement visible to the south southwest at Summit Lake. No signs or gates - it's not clear who owns this land but the US Army at one point designated it as a training site. This road is also the start of the Gulkana Glacier hiking trail.
Report Check-InUnfortunately not able to get there in winter time due to snow but wonderful views
Report Check-InGORGEOUS SPOT! Small flies and grasshoppers were horrendous during the day but once the temp dropped in the evenings they were gone. 360* stunning views, we saw moose, lots of hunters. Plenty of room for the dogs to roam, very spotty cell coverage on AT&T. We were able to find wood and there are fire rings galore.
Report Check-InGreat spot, we sleep one night. Very quiet. We didn’t see another’s RV here. No 4G service.
Dormimos una noche, muy tranquilo. No hay muchos autos que pasen. El camino está igual que en la Denali Hw. Se puede ver el glaciar.
