Description

Beautiful spot off the cascade river road near cascade pass trailhead. You should be able to get here also without 4x4, however low hanging tree branches might be in your way :) there are at least two other spots along the road which are easier to get to but not on the river.

once you get to this location, there is a single upper site and 2 lower sites. very unlikely to have any campers occupying the sites. only the upper and one lower site have direct access to the river. upper site has a few short lasting "hikes". path inbetween the lower sites is a MUST hike though very short. as of this post mosquitos are a very minor issue. getting to this spot though, you absolutely need high clearance or a vehicle with a transfer case and good approach and departure angles. I made it here in a Slightly lifted Tacoma and a military trailer on 37s so most should be able to make this. larger vehicles can make it but hopefully those larger vehicles have a thick clear coat. 10/10 beautiful! even with a 12db gain antenna, no cell service in the area.

Great spot! There are 4 spots, one at the end of the road and 3 more down the driveway to Kindy Creek, however the 2 not on the creek look like they haven’t been used in a long time. Great spot super secluded and private. Nice little trail to explore too.

Probably the most amazing spot of all time. As of June 23, the road is rough but accessible to most vehicles, but I have 4WD and decent clearance.

2021 UPDATE:

A creek has washed out the road at the last quarter mile. No van in this world will make it without 4x4 and a lift. There is a 3 foot drop into the small creek to get across. We made it in our lifted Tacoma. but then bottomed out on the way out.

Many vans turned around at the creek when we arrived.

And I'll be honest , if you don't get this spot. There isn't a single campsite worth the drive out here. they are all in the woods with no views just woods. In my opinion.

happy camping! picked up a ton of beer cans!

Amazing spot near a beautiful forest and river. Not too hard to get to, we made it in a van without a problem. very shaded so don't count on solar if you want to stay a few days. gets chilly even in August but there are very few bugs. highly recommended.

Lovely spot down by the river we didn't actually make it to the final spot (The last stretch had some large potholes we didn't fancy trying in our van), so we stayed in the one just before and still right next to the river. The last one is lovely and open though, so if your vehicle can make it then you should definitely try it! Fire pit, lovely cold fresh water and so quiet we only saw one person come through during our 2 night stay as we were heading out for a hike. During the day a few vehicles were parked back down the road at the start of a trail (we did it but I'm not sure what it's called!) but it was empty at night.
