Description

Braai place and a long drop toilet. Really nice location. 80 ND for the campsite and you have to buy a permit, 40 ND per person and 10 ND for the vehicle, to drive on the road to get there. It is a general permit for all the roads in Namib-Naukluft Park and since you are camping in the park it is valid for two days.

We stayed at campsite 13 on the northern side of the bloedkoppie. Perfectly placed campsite under two big trees with a great view of the boulder rising above the landscape. Braai / fire pit with a grill too. Bins provided though when collected the sorting you may have done is sadly undone. We walked up bloedkoppie for an amazing sunset over Naukflut park. We spent two nights here and had a great time. Bring all equipment . There is no water, just pit toilet and braai pit. This camp does not benefit from the the red glow and setting sun but you do get some really nice sun glow on the boulder. Would have easily spent a few more nights here. We felt at home, even slept in the hammock overnight. We got the permit for Naukflut when we were in Sesriem.

Located on both sides of a mountain, there is so many camping opportunities here. We decided to stay and the “second” side of the mountain, coming from road C28.
No one else at either site, you the two of us, our car and some ostriches we saw of the way there! Really recommend a night here!

A beautiful campsite in stunning surroundings. We were very satisfied. There are a number of very nice spots, all undisturbed. You simply choose a spot you are happy with. It is therefore advisable to arrive in good time.

What an incredible place, we didn't see anybody else for 2days. The longdrop was clean and even had some toilet paper. if you go to the North side, pitch no 8 is easy to reach, afterwards the deep sand starts. From this side it is easy to climb to the to of Blutkuppe.

Report Check-In

Lovely and quiet. There are about 15 camps spread all around the koppie.
Not so clean long drops. Full dustbins.
But beautiful scenery. Be self sufficient

Special place for semi wild camping. We were here for two days in mid summer with midday temperatures touching 40deg c. Completely alone and a day after a shower of rain filled up the rock pools on the mountain, which we swam in. Rock formations are spectacular, well worth a visit!

Report Check-In

Simple campsite with pit toilets in a great landscape with many beautiful rock formations. Access is easy with 2 WD, only some of the sites northwest of Blutkuppe may require 4 WD. These sites offer best evening light on Blutkuppe. Very slow MTC-Signal.

All info still the same. Climb up on the rock behind campsite 11 and you will have 3G as well in some other spots on top at the back (look for the mast in the distance).

This is really a nice place. We love the last campground on the back. Just beautiful under the trees and alone. And yes, indeed, you should hike to the top at sunset. It is amazing.

Great place among the rocks in the river bed. Soft sand requires 4x4, but we had no problems and stayed two nights. You must get a permit from MET office before entering this area, closest locations are in Windhoek or Swakopmund. Permits are N 40 pppn plus N 10 per vehicle and this includes camping. We really liked this spot. Adjacent to the river sites are others on hard packed sand, easier access but not as pretty.

Much bigger then the other camps, 14 or so sites under trees with bins and longdrop toilets on various positions. The climb up Bloedkoppie for sunset is a must!

Report Check-In

beautiful landscape, we were alone there on large basic camp.

Bloedkuppe site 8 (round the back) no facilities whatsoever aside from 3 bins and a concrete fireplace with braai grill. Fairly deep coarse sand on approach. Almost perfectly silent at night. Overnight permit for 2 people & foreign vehicle = N$170

Six sites around Bloedkoppie hill in Namib-Naukluft N.P. Beautiful environment, very limited facilities. A permit must be obtained for entering the park and for camping.
