El Rosario was my planned stop heading down the Baja to La Paz. No planned place to spend the night. Saw Mama Espinozas and it looked inviting, so I stopped. The staff was patient with this non-Spanish speaking gringo and got me checked in. For 650 pesos I got a large room with one single bed, one queen bed, a table, two chairs, a wood burning stove (no wood), and a TV. Unfortunately, there was no water pressure in the sink, no heat, and no a/c. But the shower had good pressure and hot water, and the toilet flushed. The beds had nice warm comforters, so it was a cozy night.

Our first Mexican restaurant. It was good even if we don't yet have something else to compare with. Did not stay at hotel. As off-roading fans, we enjoyed the décor and history of the place.

Food great! Hotel overpriced for baja. 550 pesos for a mediocre room. No working heat and shower head came flying off, door let in noise. Water was hot at least in the shower. Forget about the hotel and just crash on the beach (la playa la bocana) for free it’s actually quieter and more beautiful.

Nice place. Previous descriptions accurate. 550 pesos for a doble room.

Bummed to be quoted 700 for a room for the night with our dogs. They charge 150 pesos per dog, but give you 20 back the next day. We ended up at Baja Cactus next door which is a crazy nice place for the cost. We did eat at Mama Espinozas and the food was good. There are expensive menu items but that’s because it’s lobster. Try getting lobster for that cost in the states! I paid 85 pesos for enchiladas. My husband got a chicken breast plate for 145. It’s more on the expensive side for the area, but still very affordable. My only complaint is that we tried so hard to speak Spanish and both waitresses who helped us were very unimpressed. As in not the nicest, just staring at us like we are stupid haha. Oh well. Fun place to check out.

Came here for food staying at the Baja Cactus. Cool place very off road we friendly.

Way too expensive! Bummed about seeing a burrito that costs 22 dollars on the menu! Yikes! The food wasn’t super incredible either... sort of a weird vibe at the restaurant

Nice clean secure place. We didn’t actually stay in the hotel but ended up camping out in there parking lot. We have a small 14 foot trailer and are fully selve contained. Bigger units may have problems in there but truck and camper units or custom vans would be ok. I went in to inquire about camping out in the lot as we tried to get a spot down the road at Hotel Sinahi and RV but they wanted 450 pesos!
Nancy said we could park in her lot which is locked at night and plug in for power, gave us the WiFi password and asked us for 200 pesos, very reasonable and very happy!

weird. the cheapest room was quoted at 700 pesos for 2 persons. we went to the one next door and got a room for 350 instead.

Great spot for a stop over in Rosario. Safe lot for parking, restaurant, and tables/chairs for cooking/eating outside. Pets welcome. We were here two different weekends and both mornings the electricity, water, wifi, etc. we're out. I'm not sure if this is common-- all worked great in the evening. Has water filling station in the lot.
