Description

Access to 8 wonderful waterfalls after a short (but steep in the jungle) 1.5 hour hike through Carlo Mario's property, down to the river. The path is marked all the way and it is safe but it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. We were by ourselves for more than 1 hour.
8 great waterfalls along the way. one can swim like we did.
prices: 5000 each

Latest Check-Ins

After hiking the waterfall, stayed here for tge night so I can visit Catarata del Toro first thing in the morning. It is few minutes south of here. It is closed on Sundays.

They charge 4000C/person to camp for the night. You have access to bathrooms and old showers. TMobile and Verizon signal was good but not great. I could access I internet and social media.
Nig grassy parking lot to stay. Nice and tranquil at night.

There is only this place for camping, behind the restaurant. Be careful with the meadow very quickly under water and in the mud. Place next to the restaurant. The start at the cowshed to the restaurant is not signposted and a bit adventurous, but also big rig. The pool will only be filled on weekends. Restaurant only Sat+Sun open until about 5pm. Waterfalls are very nice, tour about 1.5 hours a bit exhausting because of about 90 meters in altitude. Well paved path. 4000colpp camping, 5000colpp waterfall, food prices vary from 3000colpp. Good home cooking. We got schnapps to try. Very nice family, Carol, the daughter of the house, speaks English. Nights very quiet with jungle sound, we saw toucans, butterflies and colibiris. we spent 2 nights with a Truck 28ft.

Still great. The trail is pretty slippery but doable. Entry fee is now 5000 Colones but worth it, especially when you see how much they build (stairs, platforms and railings) to allow access to the waterfalls

excellent hike through some amazing jungle. very steep but well marked and often has a hand rail. a fascinating 3 story spiral staircase down the side of the cliff is not for the faint of heart but it's worth it. each waterfall more beautiful than the rest. do not miss the waterfall at the bottom on the right. it's the big one! it has a path marked with yellow paint. price is now 4000c per person to enter, but so worth it, especially if you are camping here. my trail app I use said it was only a mile so it can be pretty strenuous but it's fairly short. we were allowed to take our dogs.

Simply stunning. Once you take the path down, you will find yourself in the jungle immediately. There are 8 waterfalls in total. The one even more beautifull then the other. Explore and find them all!
Good shoes are recommended since you have to climb up and down steep stairs.
It is 2000 cordoba per person entrance. There is a restaurant, pool and bathroom+showers.

AMAZING MUST DO! We drove with a sprinter van and made it although the ending may be difficult if it were raining as it would be muddy. The trail is completely marked with a rail. It took us 1.5hr to get down but less than an hour to get back up with breaks. An incredibly enjoyable hike as you see the waterfalls and then the last one is amazing with the most refreshing pool of water. We had it all to ourselves on a Friday 10:30am and saw another couple heading down as we made it to the parking lot.

I have the GPS location as N 10.30692, W 84.24932. There’s a sign right before the bridge to turn left :)

Amazing spot in Bajos del Toro. We were the only ones in Paraíso Manantiales. Big rigs may find it hard to get here, there was a not very high gate and the road was pretty narrow.
