Description

Great places on the riverbed! Huge area for camping on the north side of the river, you will find always a good spot. 5$ day use, 10$ overnight.
Enter by the bridge. Yes, there are some " noise-makers" with their ATVs but just during the day and early evening.

Boondocking by the river. On the north side of the road (right hand side headed towards Anchorage) someone has bought the property, fenced it off and is charging $30 / night. On the south side of the road (left hand side) there is a large gravel area very nice for boondocking. But, you have to cross a small creek, a bit scary but doable.

Awesome spot right on the river, Didn’t see any signs about fees or see anyone collecting deposits. There was a fairly deep water crossing to get to the more remote spots but looked as if there were some larger rig accessible spots at the entrance. Decent cell reception (Verizon) loads music and videos average. Didn’t worry a lot abt getting level since it was river bed type rock. Really picturesque views of the mountains around.

5$ day use, 10$ per night - not free anymore.

pretty busy right now with atvs, fan boats but if you dont let that get to you its great.
plenty of space
only thing is right now is there is a pretty substantial watercrossing to get to the good spots, we took a van and 38ft fifth wheel through and it was high but fine. just up to the doors on the van.

They are charging to stay here now (don’t see any mention of charging before). It’s $10 and mislabeled at wild camping.

Report Check-In

It’s now a campground, no services. $10/nt right on the river with open sites, just find your spot. Lots of trees. All gravel, they do sell firewood. It is definitely frequented by atv and utv enthusiasts and does get loud well into the night. Really little kids driving around the sites on atvs. It’s a new campground and the hosts are not great about enforcing the quiet hours after 11pm.

Report Check-In

Great spot but now privately owned and costs $5 day use & $10 overnight. Firewood for sales. Provide tables, fire rings, portable toilets, rubbish bins.

Report Check-In

Great place to camp. ATV traffic wasn’t bad. Construction noise across the river started at 7:00, but an otherwise great, wide open riverbed
