A sublime place, not far from the city. Large lake and few people during the day. we stayed there for 2 days. A friendly stray dog that the fishermen fed.

Nice, quiet spot during the week. It can be windy and there are hundreds, if not thousands of insects, even during the day! The porta potties toilets were surprisingly clean, so please keep them that way.

very nice place! be careful when coming here with a GPS, ours tried to take us through 2 small paths that where dead-ends and not 2wd friendly. Use the main road in Salento.

Spent two beautiful nights here.
Amaaaaazing view. The water is great for swimming too. Made our filter pretty dirty, so I wouldn’t drink it without a good filter system.
We were here with our dog. Besides that a lot of rusty nails and meat are lying around we loved it here.
There are two Porta potties by the kite surfing house. I didn’t use them, but others did.

Nice and quiet beach, locals leave when it gets dark. Good fire pits but bring your own firewood, there’s nothing to burn around.

it's a windy place, ok, but we weren't lucky. We had very very strong wind in the night. Van Parked facing the wind, in the middle of two tall bushes. terrible night. we thought that the stones raised by the gusts of wind would damage the glass of the car. in morning the wind was little calmer. no damage at the Van !!!

Gorgeous views and super quiet, with some portaloos along the track, occasional parrillas and bins. However, the wind overnight was unbelievable and the trees did nothing to offer any shelter- high-sided vehicles and tents would really struggle. There is also a very narrow bridge to get here from town which I think is unavoidable.

Fantastic evening and morning, without any wind. Quiet and peaceful.
Day earlier visited the spectacular Petrified Forest park. Beautiful details in the stone logs. Even outside the park small fragments could be found.
Ranger showed us the police report that was filed after a family tried to leave the park with a bag full of hand-sized pieces of petrified wood. Apparently they were handcuffed and brought to the police station in Sarmiento.
We're now feasting further, with coffee and sweets at La Sureña downtown Sarmiento.
