Beautiful spot for a night wild camping, next to the beginning of a wildlife area. Just a few minutes from the interstate 90. We parked it next to the lake and had a great sunset. A lot of fireflies, but also mosquitos, so come prepared!

Public access area to Walnut Lake WMA. No signs stating that you can't camp. Seems to be a very seldom used access area. A few local vehicles come down, turn around and leave. Quiet at night. Small turn around at the end of the road, so don't bring a long trailer in here. By doing a few back and forths we managed to get our truck and cargo trailer turned around, but it's not big enough to do a circle with our rig. Quiet and massively buggy. Road in, is smooth gravel.
Report Check-InBeautiful lake spot. It was cool and breezy enough to keep the mosquitos away while still getting a firefly show. It had recently rained so having a high clearance helped get past a couple puddles on the way. I pulled right up to the river but there’s a decent-sized gravel area that could handle small to mid-sized RVs if they can handle the road to get to it
Report Check-InLooked beautiful but unfortunately was flooded due to recent rain. Something to keep in mind if you don’t have 4 wheel drive like us 😫
Report Check-InNo moskitos in november, freezing cold, beautiful sunset and sunrise over the frozen lake. Few cars came by, but nobody bothered us, seems an ok place to overnight.
