no trucks above 3,5 t allowed, no bigger cars at all, you dont want to...

Report Check-In

Great benefit is central location in the island of Flores and the lovely view over the lake. As already mentioned bars and restaurants are close, so it’s not quiet in night.

Report Check-In

Very loud on a Thursday night due to the party boats blasting music until about 11-12pm. The end of the street where the pin is located is flooded so we parked ~30m up the street. Otherwise nice spot on the water

Report Check-In

Lovely spot by the water on a one-way street. Police said it was ok to park. We were able to swim, play with the dogs, and use bathrooms at nearby restaurants. Stayed for 3 nights and could have easily stayed more. Lots of poorly marked 1-way streets in the area (and google maps lies about them), so drive with caution. Very walkable!

Report Check-In

Nos estacionamos al lado de casa comunal y justo a la orilla del lago por varios días, allí obtuvimos agua para los tanques con el vigilante que está al fondo de calle.
bastante tranquilo, llegan los catamaranes a recoger turistas.
No pagamos nada - Free.

Report Check-In

stayed here for 2 nights, noisy because of the party boat, but it went away eventually. guy who looks after this area said it was fine to stay here.
You can swim in the lake, there is space to put a hammock

Report Check-In

Great view, very noisy and loud ALL days of the week since we spent 3 nights here. Of course after 22h-23h it gets calmish but this place is were all couples and group of friends come to smoke and drink, EVERY day of the week, the calmer day was Sunday... if you have a big rig, try the other spot in front of the restaurant higher up the street, if you have a van, go some place else...

Report Check-In

Just behind the Ramada Hotel. Quit at night & nearly leveled. Free.

Report Check-In

Friendly locals and lots of people out and about. Busy street up until 10:00pm. After that, everyone was gone and it was very quiet. Police patrolling the area. Recommended!

Report Check-In

Stayed here one night to explore the island.
Some shade under a few trees and nice view of the lake.
Feels safe, locals are very friendly.
Cons: it's very hot and loud from the bars across the street. We were there on a Friday and music was on until 1 am.
Could still sleep pretty well thanks to earplugs! :)

Report Check-In

nice little spot on the water. saw previous posts regarding bridge weight limit and low wires and was expecting much smaller streets. this place seems much more backpacker and traveler oriented than most of Mexico but people are very friendly and it seems super safe. we left our van unattended while we wandered, ate and drank.

seems like using bathrooms in nearby hotels and restaurants won't be in issue.

Report Check-In

Parked on grassy area near Salon. Felt very safe. A few people pulled up and left again. Could be loud if there is an event in the salon. Heard music from across the lake (low season on the island) but a fan covered the noise. It was hot, but the breezes helped. NOTE- the streets through the island are narrow with low wires. Even the delivery trucks stay on the outer ring road, part of which was flooded with rains. Driving beyond this point is risky in a truly big rig. Cross the bridge and turn left to find this spot. Then walk to look at options. We saw no weight limit signs on bridge and it may be more about what type of rigs will fit on island. We saw big tourist buses and large delivery rigs, but they all stop at the malecón and park.

Report Check-In

Nice and quiet, if you drive around to the front side of Ramada, park by the water, there's little road noise. We weren't bothered by anyone.

Report Check-In

Nice place, but there was a fiesta next to us thus we moved to the east side from the island .

Report Check-In

parking on the lake front for free. camped here for one night when visiting Flores. it was super loud at night from the nearby bars and clubs. felt safe enough for free camping. the bridge is weight limited at 5000 tonnes, we only realised this once we had already driven over it but it explains why some people have had troubles crossing over onto Flores.

Report Check-In

Probably best spot for boondocking in Flores. Stayed one night right next to the salon social, it was quiet and no one bothered us. Many (slow) internet restaurants around.

Report Check-In

Parking across the street from bars and restaurants. Spoke to one of the people who work at the bar, told them our story and they said we can use their bathroom. It's loud and hot! But free. You can use the wifi from one of the restaurants in your rig.

Report Check-In

Safe and quiet after 10 p.m. on Sunday. No services. Free.

Report Check-In

Free, good to stay, but hottest night ever. Flores itself is pretty average.

Report Check-In

stayed at the hotel hahahaha it was 96 degrees today ;)

Report Check-In

Good spot in front of the Ramada, at lakeside, hotel security very friendly. We was in middle of the city, everywhere walking, swiming, near restaurants with wifi, or free at the mall...

Report Check-In

free. we stayed here one night . very safe. close to the main activity of the city. hot weather hard to sleep.

Report Check-In

Free! Police driving around all day n night. Good for Flores! You can go by walk everywhere. A bit noise at night, specialy on fridays. /// Gratis! La policía patrulla todo el día y la noche. Bueno para Flores q podes ir caminando a todos lados. Algo ruidoso en las noches x la música de los bares, especialmente los viernes.

Report Check-In

Flores is great! Everything is walkable.

Report Check-In

I was prevented from entering the island by the police on the approach road. No outside vehicles were being allowed to cross the bridge. My spanish is very poor but I tried to insist that I wished to visit one of the hotels and this had no effect on the policeman. I do drive a Unimog so perhaps the size and appearance of the camper had some impact on his attitude. I turned around and camped in the Maya Hotel car park.

Report Check-In

Also boondocked on the street right outside the Ramada.
