Something not right?

Description

- 10 BZD per person
- owner was not very welcoming
- flushing toilet and shower, not very nice, but the toilet has a padded seat! (it is probably used by the family living here)
- no beach camping, you have to walk to the beach (but it was littered with trash)
- All in all, not a good place, but we arrived after sunset and we did not have enough energy to look for anything else. We'd suggest just boondocking in the village - the streets go all the way to the sea. Don't go south of the village, it is all private property and you won't get to the beach.
- Road to hopkins village is being paved, but it was ok when we were there. Some back roads were flooded though.

Latest Check-Ins

Stay at the hostel or just in front. We parked in front of the house of the manager and used the facilities of the hostel. Nice relaxing place and very close to the ocean. Enjoy Hopkins!

Report Check-In

Previous campers must have caught Victor on a bad day as we found him charming if a little shy. 15bzd for 2, the shower room is grotty to say the least, but there is a separate toilet close to the beach plus an open air shower. We camped close to the beach but probably because we have a 4x4. Also started building Cabanas, but looks like they could take a while. Beach now pretty clean, but very windy in January. GPS location was incorrect, hopefully I have corrected this, if not it is a little further down on the left, yellow sign 'Castillo'. The Girafuna drummers were one of our highlights of Belize seen in a bar in the village and if hungry try a 'man sized' pork chop at Frogs Point restaurant just down the road, run by a German couple.
