300 pesos for 2 people in our truck camper, first site we parked in the power didn't work so we moved to another site, we couldn't park close to the power point on the other site because of low hanging branches but we were still able to reach, but in the morning when we needed to dump black water we couldn't reach so we parked back at the old site to empty black water, despite this it's a nice enough spot, we stayed on Friday night and still very quiet, we swam in lake was very nice, because swimming pool was empty (being cleaned) good showers and toilets, was told not to drink tap water but we did anyway and didn't get sick

All as previously describe. Lovely spot during the week, the usual parties and music on the weekends. Came here with friends that slept in their car….One 21ft rv and also a car, so we parked in the one spot. 300p for the rv max 2 people then 110 pp for extra people. There was no charge for the car just the occupancy

We really enjoyed our time at Koala. The grounds are immaculate and the lake front views cannot be beat. We stayed behind the cabañas in the small ‘trailer park’ and took advantage of the power and water at the sites. It was really quiet the night we arrived but due to the area’s popularity it soon became a somewhat noisy party scene. That said, you’ll have the place to yourself if you arrive during the week. DO NOT miss the excellent restaurant here. The food is fantastic! We paid $300Mex/noche which was well worth it for such a beautiful spot.

The place is ok, has camping spots near the lake MXN150/person. Max 6 ppl per site. Showers and toilets are clean. Many big dogs roaming around. Restaurant only opens till 4pm (prices seem high). The camp is pretty much empty. The staff is not very friendly or flexible on anything. There is wifi set up that takes you to a page to log in with password (it also showed the IP) but staff said it’s not set up and wouldn’t give us the password. We also set up our tent near a table area, once again even though the campground is empty, staff would not let us set up there. We planned to stay two nights at the lake but only paid for one night here. We will move to another campground tomorrow, right across from this camp. Just because of their staff attitude, we would not be coming back! Instead of making the only clients on site happy and comfortable, they made us feel not welcomed!

Amazing place! The lake water is warm and the showers hot. Flushing clean toilets. Very nice grounds. So quiet! Massive Iguanas and dropping mangoes entertained us. We were here on a Thursday so not many people. Restaurant only open for breakfast and lunch but we never ate there. Probably the best campground we have stayed at so far.

Updating for prices, it’s $150 for camping lakeside and $110 for camping away from lake. You can swim and there are kayaks and a restaurant, picnic tables and outlets. A nice breeze from the lake too

Report Check-In

Very good place for camping, very well organized since the pandemic. With access to the lake.

220 for tents and 300 for our van. It didn't appear there was a more expensive option for RVs, but I definitely wouldn't want to bring one of those or a long trailer down the steep, sharp curved road with no guard rail!! stop for the view point at the top, this is your last chance to turn around before heading down. it is quite pretty down here and the water is clear and warm. the restaurant on the property was busy, which I take to be a good sign, but we didn't eat here. good cell reception for 4G but no wifi.

I’m sure it’s a lovely place and the area is certainly beautiful but there is a lot of construction going on once you finally make it down the long steep narrow curvy but very beautiful road. Unfortunately we were unable to enter the park because of this construction. Small cars and trucks could do it but with a 20ft travel trailer it is not possible. Then trying to find somewhere to turn the rig around on the tiny road- stressful to say the least. Too bad- we would’ve enjoyed spending some time there. If you are traveling with a anything bigger than a small van or truck you may want to call first and make sure the entrance is open again. I called and the lady spoke beautiful English.

Great spot! Spent two nights here. Lake is really warm, perfect for swimming and kayaking. Good restaurant with lakeside view. Nice hikes in the area. Only the very last part of the road is unpaved, doable in any vehicle.

Report Check-In

Beautiful lakeside campground. Not many sites for big rigs. Clean restrooms and hot showers. Electric and water. Also tent camping. Very friendly staff. Super dog friendly place. Fills up on weekends.

We parked with pickup camper, our opinion the best spot on the lake, we paid 220 pesos with full hookup (no wi-fi).
Beautiful grounds down to lake picnic tables, benches, great restaurant on the water. Perfect for a few days of relaxing.

great place to camp or park rig. beautiful lake we stayed two nights, Friday and Saturday. first night was excellent, very quiet and peaceful, Saturday night was crowded and people with loud music. I suggest coming on weekdays. overall, it is a great spot, great food at onsite restaurant, and very clean bathrooms.

Had a recommendation to come here to cool off in July and we have not been disappointed! It took us about 2 hours to walk around the lake. We have been out swimming and kayaking. The water is clear and beautiful & the camping facilities are very good. We have paid 200pesos a night for an RV spot as we don't use any of the RV hookups although I'm not sure that this is always the case. It is very busy right now - guessing the weekends usually are.

Report Check-In

Lovely spot on beautiful lake with kayaks for rent, swimming, hiking, birds, restaurant, firepits, wood for sale. RV sites have no lake view. Bathrooms clean with hot water tanks, but we didn't take showers. We paid 200 pesos per night as we didn't need hookups.

Report Check-In

It's still open. I agree with all the other comments. Nice place, feels safe. Lots of birds here.

Report Check-In

Lovely camping, nicely maintained. Clean showers and toilets. Paid 200 pesos for an RV spot. Walking distance from several restaurants which have strange opening- and closure times (last night every restaurant was closed, on a wednesday) but good and cheap food. Stayed 2 nights.

Report Check-In

A very nice campground next to the lake. Initially wanted to charge us $220 but as in a rooftent and no hookup required readily agreed to $80pp. Here mid week and only 3 groups staying. Nice and quiet and lots of work being done to maintain the grounds looking their best.

Report Check-In

Really nice campground.
We've been charged 80 pesos per person for a spot in the RV park, with a campervan (no hook-up needed).

Report Check-In

Nice family camping. $220 pesos to park in the RV spots, guy wouldn't budge on price. Hot showers and fairly clean. No internet but cell service.

On the Lake Santa Maria del Oro. $200 pesos to park my small trailer. No wifi, I haven't tried the showers yet. Dogs OK.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place on a lake, $220 pesos with hook ups, elec/water/sewer. Christopher came from England 30 years ago, fell in love with a Mexican girl and stayed. He also has a place way from the lake about 20 minutes walk you must see! I'll post it separate.

Report Check-In

nice grassy camping area, we camped in the "trailer park" were the only ones. charged us 80 pesos no hookups. nice hot showers, though we didn't really want to shower hot...

Report Check-In

Nice campground with lots of palm trees and flowers. Very clean. 4 sites with water/electricity/dump, 220 pesos per night. The road is narrow and there are power lines at 3.6m, tricky for high rigs. Lots of restaurants at the lake in walking distance.

Report Check-In

Paid 220 for RV site for 2 people. The lake is really beautiful. Not a lot of people there and on the area overall.

Report Check-In

All in all a good stay. Nice lake, facilities are allright, price is reasonable.

Report Check-In

Loved this place! Very tranquil. We were the only ones here. Did not use water/power so was 80 pesos per person. Hot shower and clean bathrooms. Lake is awesome for paddle boarding. They rent kayaks.

Report Check-In
