Amazing spot. Had whole camp ground to ourselves for the 3 nights we were there. Clean facilities. Awesome fire and grill to cook on. Beautiful beach to walk on. Great swimming at high tide.

Report Check-In

Tres bel endroit au bord de la plage avec de l ombre et des coins pour manger. Tres calme et sanitaire de qualite. Wifi bonne partout 7 dollars la nuit

Report Check-In

Beauuuuutiful. Plenty of shade, camp fire, a whole beach to ourselves, secure and a restaurant nearby. What do you want more? Prices in restaurant are expensive, so bring most of your stuff along. We asked for drinking water and got a whole water gallon for 1.50. 7$ pp/pnight in tent. When we arrived there was no toilet paper and it wasn’t clean. Both were organized pronto upon request. We walked the beach to the left at low tide until Cumilinche lodge. Countless photo motives there ae absolutely recommend this. Bring insect repellent along and enjoy!

Perfecto para desconectarse. Con todas las facilidades. Mesa de picnic, lavatorios, Baños secos y duchas de agua fría. Súper limpio y la playa hermosa.
Enchufes, luces, basureros. Todo para acampar cómodo. Súper lindo

Great place to stay right in front of the beach for 7$pps per night. As much firewood as you like, fast internet all over the place, hammocks, dry toilets and plenty spots to sit down and relax. Very quiet at night, at the moment we are the only overlanders here. Can absolutely recommend this place if your coming to the coast. Possible surf spots just a few minutes drive away.

Report Check-In

Friendly canadian owner who speaks perfect english. Quiet place next to the beach. Showers basic and dry toilets. They ask 7 $ pppn. Nothing bad to say about this place.

Report Check-In

We loved our stay here! Friendly owner, employees and delightful restaurant on premises with new, wonderful management. Quiet, secluded beach, nice campsite with great shade and several shelters for rain or sun. 110 v electricity and the Wi-Fi was quick and worked most of our visit. Composting toilets and cool showers outdoors. Warm shower on second floor of restaurant, is slightly salty. The 10k road in is mostly paved with a few rough spots but definitely worth the diversion!

Report Check-In

Great place to relax and stay at the beach for a couple of days. The wifi wasn't working when we stayed so we leaved before we wanted because we needed to work, and is not possible to catch any phone signal either. We consider it a little bit expensive compare to the other amazing campgrounds, specially for the bathrooms that are a total experience for those who are not familiar with dry bathrooms! If you want to disconnect and be surround by nature, that's your place!

Report Check-In

Beautiful place, a clean and small beach. Wifi was not working the days we spend there and food was quite expensive. Still $7pp.

Report Check-In

All comments are accurate. Great spot. $7pp. If you want a free spot head south to the next iOverlander spot but for relaxing and enjoying the beach this is where you want to be.

Report Check-In

Indeed very beautiful! The price was still 7 USD ppn. Even on weekend very, very quite. The Wi-Fi only worked up the hill.

Report Check-In

It’s is a paradise! We stayed here for 3 days, and with beach only for us!

Joined Canadian born Judith at her place on the beach. Beautiful spot with basic facilities in keeping with the environment. WiFi is good and seems to extend everywhere. Stayed 2 nights and would've loved to stay longer but a bit pricey for us. We paid $14 for a couple....still trying to get used to the Ecuatorian prices after nearly 5 months in Colombia.

Report Check-In

Absolute Paradise. The price is justified by the gorgeous location, the simple facilities (toilets/showers) are just ok. Good WiFi and excellent restaurant (and chocolate). Nice owner lady and nice restaurant owners.

Report Check-In

Absolutely fantastic. Campground is steps from the beach. Restaurant nearby has different owners than the campground. For $7 pp, you get electrical plug, fast wifi, compost toilet, shower, outdoor kitchen sink, your own covered table with light bulb for the evening, a hammock, an outdoor fire pit with wood already cut. If the sound of the waves and the long sandy beach get tiring you can go to the restaurant where you can buy meals , chocolate or beer. The restaurant is outdoors and is owned by Ernesto. It has beautiful wood furniture. The night we ate there we had coconut shrimp with rice, and ceviche. Very good. The home made chocolate bars are the best.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place but they ask already 5,-$ per person entrance even if you don't camp here and additional 2,50$ entrance for the restaurant - it's quiet a strange system to get your money - after the chocolate cake for 6,-$ is really good. So you need to have enough cash if you want to visit this place :-(

RUM: It's a really nice place. Only 50 meters to the Pacific. The beach is about 100 m wide. Then come on both sides of the cliff. We were 8 adults and 4 children. There was only a pit toilet, 1 shower and a beach shower open. Unsatisfactory. $ 14 for 2 people per night is too much for the amenities. The owners Lisa and Ernesto are very friendly.

Have to agree with the other comments, this place is truly amazing. Meant to stay 2 days ended up staying 10. Judith, the owner, is such an amazing person, a true hippy, that has created a sustainable slice of paradise for people. Ernesto, the restaurant owner, grows his own cocoa and makes his own organic...best chocolate I have tasted so far. Just a great community of people, so if you find your way to this part of Ecuador...this place is a must stay.

great place. beautiful. entrance 4.00 high 3.00 width. low tide make a swim difficult.

Report Check-In

Be prepared to stay way longer than planned. Shady, level and grassy spots overlooking your own private beach. Cold showers and compost toilets both clean and tidy. Great wifi (good enough for Netflix) and restaurant if needed. $7 pp per night. Beautiful and super peaceful. Enjoy!!

Report Check-In

As described, beautiful. $7pppn, cold beers $3. Wouldn't rely on Wifi for work as it was super slow when we were there. [Sign at entrance says no pets allowed in, but not sure if campers pets are welcome].

Report Check-In

This place is nice but... camping area is not very big and the beach is not that big, I got here and was very crowded, probably a great choice for low season if you're like I am more inclined towards lonely paradisiac places. The owner is however extremely nice :)

Report Check-In

Beautiful campsite and surroundings. A definite when in the area!

Report Check-In

Really lovely. There's not a whole lot of room (I think 3-4 'sprinter size' rigs would be comfortable here). Electrical outlets everywhere. Compost toilets and cold shower. No WiFi in the camping area - but there was a network up at the house/dorm up past the restaurant. We found this place very relaxing. $7 pp pn.

Report Check-In

Don't miss this place, better than perfect!!

Report Check-In

It's really paradise. But the meals are better in Cumilinche Club, 1 Mile South on the beach.

Report Check-In

A lovely peaceful place to camp. For us it was a great getaway. Judy and her staff are very friendly and helpful. $7pppn.

Report Check-In

Quiet shady spot very close to small beach. Electricity was off most of the day and water pressure was weak but otherwise lovely. Friendly helpful staff.

Report Check-In

Awesome beach camp. Quite and beautiful. 7 per person and worth it.

Report Check-In

Real campsite separte from hostal at the beach. A lot of shade

Report Check-In

This is paradise! Beatiful place, you camp just few steps from the beach with amazing view. Electricity, showers, bathrooms, wifi and electricity. USD7 pp

We owe a big thank you to our buddy Jeff (aka TravelswithBarley) for finding this place. What a tranquil setting and it is much better than any beach camp that we encountered in Central America. We might have to stay here a little longer than we'd planned! Oh, and the lobster is amazing! We paid $7 per adult and our kiddo was free. Back story: Judith (the owner of this beautiful spot) has traveled a lot in her lifetime. For example, she traveled in Africa from 1965-1974 and spent a lot of time traveling in Nigeria in particular. She traveled in her van (sometimes with a past boyfriend but many times traveled solo) all over the world. She has lived in Ecuador for 30 years and welcomes campers here since she camped in her van for so much of her life..

Report Check-In

Has everything an overlander needs. The owner Judith speaks English is quite fond of travelers. Beautiful empty beach as far as you can see. Not too hot and water was nice and cool.
