Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
I stopped in and walked my dog around, but there were some camper trailers surrounded by trash with no vehicle parked, but still, people were staying in them, giving off a transient vibe, so I moved on. Other than that nice place, kids playing on beach nice view dog loved exploring the driftwood on the beach.
Report Check-InThis is Clearly marked as Day Use Only. Yea there are picnic tables and toilets but for Day Use. Don’t hog them as your personal free site. Just because the area doesn’t have the resources to constantly police a site that clear says No Camping doesn’t make you ‘clever’ to use it. It makes you a Shmuck.
Drive 15min either way to find proper beautiful allowable camping locations
Don’t be a mooching shmuck
This area is really a day use area. As others have said, it is 8hr stay and not overnight. The camping is starting to get out of hand and upsetting locals who want to use their day use area for picnic etc. RCMP are starting to make efforts. May be ok for quick overnight nap but it is not a campground
Report Check-InGood spot for overnight car stay. Name of this place is Oyster Bay Shoreline Park. It is near to Miracle Bay state park for clean restroom access.
Report Check-Inok for a night, but come and go also the night, and some stupid campers like generator
Report Check-InQuiet spot (in the winter) steps from a beach just off the Island Highway.
Report Check-InOcean front rest area off hwy. Busy but pretty quiet with pit toilets, beach access and garbage bins. Spent a night and it was great but please respect these spots! Some guys in a camper had an illegal beach fire that they left burning when they went to bed and left loads of bottles and garbage on the beach. Respect these areas and don’t ruin it for everyone else!!
Report Check-InRest area with patchy wifi and picnic tables next to the road. Pretty quiet at night though. Sign has a no camping symbol and says 8hr max stay but there were 10-15 other campers parked up so I dont think its enforced. Good for a night if you leave early in the morning.
Report Check-InStill able to stay here overnight. Restaurant across the street and 2 pit washrooms. Probably about 14 campers/vehicles stayed here
Report Check-InVery busy because you can get shaw free wifi, not all time working though. Anyway, quiet and good to sleep. There is that smell that other person says, but it's not annoying, it cames from the bay in low tide.
Report Check-InReally busy, but quiet. Lots of places to park, picnic tables and pit toilets.
Report Check-InSome noice from the street, but when it's get fewer traffic you can hear the ocean. Pit Toilets ok, there was some smell, don't know where it came from. Free WiFi.
