Something not right?

Description

You can camp in the abandoned village. There are wind protections made of stone. There is a water pump with dirty water which becomes better when pumping for a longer time (would be good for cooking or filtration).

Latest Check-Ins

We are on a bicycle trip. For this trip we come from La Paz to Chile. We stopped here at around 15h30 see if there was a person to see if we could sleep here. After half an hour's wait a lady came to us. It asks 50 Bolivianos if we want to put the tent around this place. We decided to go further. PS, there's a water pump that comes from the groundwater nap. PS2, It's not abandoned

Report Check-In

We crossed the border late and took advantage of the location of this spot quite close. the place seemed indeed abandoned to us but at 9 p.m. a man knocked on the door. we asked what he wanted without opening the door (we are two women and it was dark) but we didn't understand and he left. he knocked again at 7 a.m. without anyone understanding again. then at 9 a.m. when she was outside he came back. he is an elderly man, not at all aggressive, who actually lives in one of the houses that seem abandoned. he insistently asked for money, food and books, which also seems quite normal since we slept in his "garden". the spot itself is pleasant and accessible by van even at night so why not meet this gentleman before settling down and offering him something in exchange?

Report Check-In

Cool place! More options to camp also down the road (with no wind protection).
