Very nice place above a river, on a short grassy sideroad. Nice View. Maybe not for Big Campers. But with my small Campervan Perfect! High Clearance recommended. Be tick-aware in June.

Pour une petite voiture c'est pas l'idéal car la montée et descente touche le dessous de la voiture..
C'est l'automne les feuilles partent alors l'abri n'est pas si caché..

The Squirrel x-country ski & hiking parking lot was perfect for our 24ft class C. Nice local road for stretching legs. A low murmur from the nearby ethanol plant was not bothersome.
Report Check-InCheck it out first before you drive in. And when it's too grassy or whatever for you, take a look on the other side of the road. Probably you already saw the sign: Squirrel Recreation area. It's more like a trailhead gravel parking than a recreational area, but more secluded, less view, less wind and more shade than here at this Above River Wild Camp. Squirrel has no amenities at all, but easier access for all rigs and also free.
