Occasionally used road by the cliff. (A couple of beer bottles évidence of locals coming here). Lots of flat places. Very wild, nothing here. Dirt road from highway. By the water. Beach water access very difficult, if even possible?
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Totally wonderful camp! Wind blew all night. Finally calm at 9am. Spectacular views, unbelievable amount of sea birds, flocks of pelicans, dolphins, etc. An easy way to beach if you walk around the sand canyon to the west along a two-track by a small dune. You can follow the (illegal) two-track down to the beach. Watch out for nails and deck screws around the palapas. Plenty of garbage, tp in bushes, cans, etc. We picked up two bags full and there are plenty more. Toilet is in pieces all around. Still, it doesn’t get much better than this camp.
Report Check-InWHAT?? This place is amazing. No 4x4 or high clearance necessary. That's so beautiful here.
Report Check-InABSOLUTELY AMAZING VIEW & SUNSETS. We had it all to ourselves. NO FLIES. No high winds. Pretty easy drive in. Our only gripe is that the beach access is not easy, or if its even possible? But stunning spot otherwise.
Report Check-InTwo years later and still an one of our fav sites in all of Mexico. Can be very windy at times especially early am hours.
Report Check-InCool spot, Im the only person for as far as the eye can see. 4 palapa shelters provide nice shaded areas.
Quite a steep hike down to the water but doable. Where shoes! Those little spikey goatheads are about. Amazing 180° view.
Great spot, kite down to the beach. Gorgeous view. cooked lunch, took shower and since running out of time to get to Cabo, drove on west.
Report Check-Inamazing place, wonderful, we were alone a few days, Red sunrise and sunset, papalas and a pit Toilette, no waste and no waste bin, free camping in the Sand desert
Report Check-InPalapas de Ejido La Frontera.
Tidy palapas on cement pads. To the east and west are what look like fish camps with access to the beach as there were vehicles down there. During new moon tourists will surf fish here.
I had to leave because of gale-force wind.
End result is beautiful, great spot on the cliff with palapas.
Our issue was getting in. The road is mostly hard pack, but there are several spots of super soft, deep sand. Did not have the right equipment to get us unstuck, so we turned back unfortunately and went to town (Concho Del Mar). We will definitely come back though when we've got some tracks.
Report Check-InOne of the best places to stay. Amazing views and great walks on the beach, road is fine for any vehicle even if wet. Spent a week here. And has cellular service.
Report Check-InGoogle takes you to within 100 yards of the entrance from the highway. As described. Most amazing Camp on this stretch of road. Better than the paid sites in our opinion. Cell service comes and goes 3g/4g. Just far enough off the road. We filled up a large bag of trash. If a few more do the same it will be clean. Dolphins swimming by all day long. :) **Mexico Drones on youtube**
Report Check-Inpretty wicked spot! the beach down below is awesome, try go down there at low tide and you can just chill in the shallow pools. the palapas are built so well! they look so good overlooking the beach! Windy as mentioned and we had pretty good service there with telcel at the front right palapa! check ExplorationLane on Instagram for photos if you wish will upload some here as well!
Report Check-InWe found the Sweatshirt but WhatsApp couldn't find the first number and i couldn't write a sms to the mexican number. I wrote an sms to the belgish number but not sure if that worked cause it is not a WhatsApp number. So if you read this. The shirt is in good condition after hanging 4 weeks in the desert wind, it smells really fresh ;) please contact me per mail. [email protected] or facebook Lea Blättler.
By the way: it is a very beautiful spot!
Report Check-InHi Overlanders!
We just slept at this place, its perfect, just quite windy as described!
I have a request for the next person coming here... I forgot a sweatshirt there! It was not mine and its sentimentality precious for the person I borrowed it from. It's a simple grey sweatshirt.
If you find it, could you please contact me?? :)

Thank you so much!!
Great location on a cliff overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Has a good bit of trash around. We picked some up and packed it out. Definitely would stay here again.
Ran down to the beach to see if we could drive down. Unfortunately, I did not feel comfortable in my Subaru Outback's ability to make it back up from the beach.
Report Check-InIndeed a beautiful place with 4 very nice palapas where you can hang up your hamack or sit in the shade. Even a basic but clean pit toilet. We arrived on a Wednesday and stayed 2 days - all by ourselfe. Thanks to who ever build this place
Report Check-InThis spot is beautiful. Wasn't even very windy. the way is as described. the palapas look unused in general. no trash or other signs of regular visitors around. At night another car came but just passed my minivan and drove down the sand road to the beach (only for 4x4s).
Report Check-InEl Toronillo. GORGEOUS. Very windy but worth one night. No one else around. Gravel & sand road about 15 minutes long to get to Palapas. Keep eye out on the road.
Report Check-InQuiet with beautiful views of cortez. Has 4 recently built large palapas with an outhouse. Large for big rigs. Had it all to myself. Limited cell/data coverage -tmobile
Report Check-InLess wild than the original entry. There are now four nice pilapas and a outhouse. Super scenic with access to the beach for lightweight 4x4’s only. Plenty of room in the flats near pilapas for larger campers. Very little wind protection.
Report Check-InGreat location! This spot is also in a bit of a low lying area so you are hidden from sight, thanks.
