Causeway access at the south side of the Salar. We had to pay 10bol to exit here. Be careful some of the approaches to the causeway are in bad shape.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Totally agree with the comments. When exiting the salar joint the road at least a couple of kilometres from the north (where the flags are). The ground either side of the road is water logged plus large boulders creating the causeway bank.
Report Check-InI passed there at 5:30 pm and was open, didnt see nobody. The inicial of salar has just a little of water. I did the track to uyuni and in the final was more wet. Even i go slowly, the motorcycle is very dirt of salt.
Report Check-Infor being the driest part of the year, still a ton of water. we attempted to get out this way and came across a truck, lighter then ours, that had crashed through the salt. I attempted to help the best I could, and failed, but there was no way I was getting my vehicle involved. very dangerous exit/entrance to the Salar. we turned around and did not exit here.
Report Check-InThis entrance/exit still had quite a lot of water, we just made it through. The other entrance at Colchani was way better.
