You enter here by a little bridge with an open gate. This is a recreational area with grass field, coconut trees along the sandy seashore, a basketball court with light, a little dock along the river where locals swim when sea is too wavy and a drums workshop. It's very quiet. When it's breezy you won't be borrowed with sand flies otherwise buy a ventilator in one of the village shops.
The restrooms near the basketball court were closed.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
This location, and this entire town, reeks to sketchiness. Was woken up at 2am by a shirtless man asking for money. Wouldn’t leave after giving him $10. Had to sound my car alarm. Even in the evening, it just didn’t seem very safe here. I’d avoid this area in future, but may be doable depending on your risk tolerance.
Report Check-InCame here to buy a drum from the Austin Rodriguez. His daughter Daytha and I chatted for a couple hours while she put a skin on one for me. I didn’t camp out but it would be a lovely place. I kept telling her lucky she is that that’s her office!
Report Check-InVery good place in Dangriga with local ambiance.
You must to see Daytha Rodriguez and his drum !
No facilities but nobody here after the sunset !
