What a wonderful place. The owners take a very good care of the campsite. There is only 4 camping spots, two one them have trees so you can have some shades. Plus there is tables under a wood shelter. Ablution were very clean, you have free WiFi (not very fast but enough for what’s app). The pool was green but we still have a jump on it has it was super hot. Price is 150 pppn which is very cheap for what you get ( included free biscuit).
It’s close to the B1 so easy to reach (but not noise from the road).

Report Check-In

Happy White House.

There wasn’t a single pre pitched tent on the campsite, all campsites open.

One more family was camping that night I stayed. Otherwise all still the same.

150 N$

WiFi is not really great.

PS: there is not really a restaurant on side. But they cook for you and deliver it to the campsite

Report Check-In

When we arrived there were several tents already set up, effectively blocking the pitches to 4x4s. These must be the campsites tents since no one stayed in them whilst we were there. We parked in the only free space but were then joined, very closely, by another car requiring me to move in order to get some privacy. If the tents are a permanent thing now then I wouldn't recommend this for overlanders due to the lack of privacy.

Such a nice camping with a wonderful sunset

Report Check-In

We really enjoyed our stay. Warm welcome with homemade rusks. We enjoyed the amazing view from the little pool and on the 2,5 km hike. Feels as in the middle of nowhere. It’s a small campsite with four places and good facilities (elektricity, braai) and clean toilet and shower block. Recommend!

Nice campsite with power and hot water for a very reasonable price. We stayed two nights spontaneously and booked the dinner. Recommendation for this friendly family business.

Chalets with extremely comfortable double bed and two single bunk beds are N$800 per night. All modern facilities including fully self catering, air con, Wi-Fi, oven with stove top hob, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and proper ground coffee with press. Swimming pool and childrens jungle gym down the track to the east of the White House to enjoy for the whole family! Worth a two night stop to recharge - great value!

Very friendly owner, we received even a welcome gift. well maintained camp and abolutions, very clean and quiet, little refreshing pool about 300meters away from the sites, sandy sites with water, electricity, braii, light and the wifi is working at sites and for free. Really recommend this place

Report Check-In

A great campsite with lots of historical heritage and friendly owners. Very quiet and great place for stargazing. Clean abblutions and some nice hikes around the camp. But really amazing is the braai pack with lamb meat from their own farm. Best BBQ we had in Africa.

Report Check-In

Good stopover upon entering Namibia. Unfortunately very cold at this time this year but having electricity is a great help. Lovely hosts (very tasty complimentary packet of rusks upon arrival). R150pppn. Ablutions very clean and well maintained. Unfortunately the pipes had burst the previous night and, although repaired, the cold water supply to the shower was not working so extremely hot shower. Nice campsite. Recommended.

Report Check-In

We enjoyed staying at this campsite, ablutions are very nice and clean. We didn't use the swimming pool because of the bad weather but looks great. We had dinner in the White house, you should try there lamb shank! Very friendly owners who helped us trying to figure out how it works with the covid test at the SA border. We can recommend this place!
Camping is 150$N p.p.p.n. and dinner was 180$N p.p.p.n. they also sell braaipacks and other home made stuff. The rusks we got as a welcomes gift tasted delicious!

Now 150pppn, getting a bit too expensive for a one night quickie stop type place.

Report Check-In

As described below very nice place for a stay. They have also organic meat for the Braai from the farm which is delicious.
Price is now 150N$ per person per night.

Report Check-In

Lovely guest farm to camp or stay in one of their chalets or rooms. We camped for two nights, it doesn't get over crowded as there are only 4 camp sites. Lovely clean ablutions, shower is very hot & good pressure (turn cold on first or you may burn yourself!). We tried their Braai packs for dinner NAD150pp, and very good! includes lamb, boerwors, salads, bread rolls, wood. They also offer a cooked option which we did not try but heard it's the best!
They have a pool and great kids playground. Also an outdoor bath with donkey on the hill. We also bought some baking & meat from them. Great place, excellent price N100pppn (kids half price). Definitely recommend!!

Report Check-In

Lovely place with lovely owners. We had a lovely shady spot and enjoyed a swim in the pool (old farm reservoir). Would definitely recommend.

Report Check-In

Beautiful campsite with very friendly owners. We were welcomed warmly with bisquits. The trip to the rose quartz mine was very interesting. Highly recommended.

Report Check-In

Lovely chalets and campsite. Also some rooms in the main farmhouse. We stayed one night in a chalet and the next night on the campsite. First night we ordered a braaipack (150pp), fresh delicious lambmeat with bread and salad. The meat so good we bought lamb from then again for night number two. Nice and clean ablutions on the campsite. Also a funky outdoor bathtub on the rocks, if you want to be romantic. Drinks available in the fridge in the main house as well as in the rooms(honesty bar)
On request they'll cook you a meal. There is a small playground and a waterreservoir to cool down. You can also hike a 2,5km trail or drive a 5km or 15km road over the farmland. Very nice owners, made us feel welcome right away. We loved our stay and will be back soon.

Report Check-In

Ok place. Clean ablutions and hot water at the shower. The owners are really nice. They sell delicious game meat and prepare food with you want, as other reviews mentioned. The place has no shade and it’s 100% sandy, although 2 of the campsites have a small covered area. Good WiFi.

Report Check-In

Very friendly host. Good food. Little clean chalet. Campsite availability’s.

Report Check-In

Agree with previous reviews. We had a fantastic experience.

Report Check-In

What an awesome place. Very calm campsite with some chalets and a big house with rooms aswell. They have a swimmingpool, which is very small and cold but really nice to cool down. We order the Braai packed (N$150 each). The food was really great but it was more then enough for two nights. Other guests had the prepared food (also N$150 each) this was really really good, they let us taste some! :)
overall really recommend the place. Price is still N$100 pp

Same comments applies at the date I camped. The owners can’t be friendlier and kind. They have a tame springbok calf outside reception! Camp is great and they are working on improving it. Toilets spotless with nice hot showers. Nice place indeed!

Report Check-In

Wonderful place. Can watch the milky way all night long. Very friendly owners. Selling game, lamb, boerwoesre, biltong for braai. If you want you can order their homecooked food for 150N$. Really delicious and huge portions! Perfect place to do a daytrip to the fish river canyon. Highly recommended.
Camping 100N$ pp and the chalets are about 700N$.

Report Check-In

Nice little quiet campsite, two clean bathrooms with toilet and shower. Water, electricity at the site. Sites bit messy and close to each other. Very friendly owners, we got some welcoming rusk :) price still $N100 pp.

Report Check-In

Great place, as everyone else said. Camping is good, sandy but some shade, power and a light at each site, nice toilets, 100 per person. Main building has a fridge, micro and electric kettle. Or pay 150 and they bring you wood for braai, 4 sausages, really good mutton, some ribs, 4 home made buns and salad. Wifi is good, even at camp 50m away, there is a fridge stocked full of wine, beer and sodas which you pay for at the end. Plus Dolf let me work on motorcycle in his garage, super nice people. Spent 2 nights!

Report Check-In

great Place. very friendly Owners. 100pppn. clean showers and toilets. you can buy meet and firewood. they also prepare breakfast and dinner if you want. really nice place

Report Check-In

All comments still valid. An excellent place to stay for a couple of nights and value for money at 100$pppn. The lamb shoulder delivered to your campsite is delicious and enough meet to make a shepherds pie the following night. Fire wood 40$. Wifi is not the strongest at the campsite but just walk closer to the house and picks up well.

Report Check-In

Everything as described, we had a wonderful time in this oasis. We ordered dinner which came at 19.00 to our campplace, delicious and a huge portion, 150 $ p.P. Internet was ok but not fast, but agree, best for a long time...

Beautiful spot along the B1 with hot shower, Braai places and WIFI in the middle of nowhere. Perfect spot to catch up with Emails :-)

Delicious Braai Packs, Wood etc at the reception.

And one can buy beautiful rose quartz jewelry. Interesting story about the mine as well.

And the interior of the White House itself shows how life was in the older days.

Thank you Dolf and Kinna for this experience

Report Check-In

For 80$ pppn, it‘s incredible. Clean Restrooms & Showers, good wifi, drinkable water, braai spots, light and electricity at every campsite... everything you could ask for plus a pool and very friendly owners. Would recommend and stay again

Report Check-In

Very friendly owners! the campsite is as described in other comments. But at this date they only have cold water in the bathrooms. If they heard this, they would promise to fix it. The tour to the rose quartz mine was great!
camping: 80 pppn
the mine tour: 300 pp

Report Check-In

This place is a must stop! Well run by Dolf de Wet and his wife it is as described in earlier posts here. In addition Dolf runs tours in his vehicle to their rose quartz mine on his property which is well worth putting a couple of hours aside for. Fascinating! They also sell raw rose quartz pieces or polished versions. The old White House itself is worth looking around inside too for its history and period pieces. Campsite is small and has room for just four vehicles. Water is as usual at remote locations from a borehole and a bit chalky. Excellent value spot and highly recommended.

Report Check-In

Lovely well maintained camspite with chalets and a huge house which also accomodates guests. They offer meals and sell food. Good wifi for free. Recommend.
