The GPS coordinates are perfect but Goggle Maps thinks there is an EAST CROWLEY but there isn’t. When it tells you to turn right (across road from West Crowley Rd), don’t (or you’ll get even a 4x4 stuck) and continue another half mile turning right onto E. Fawn Acres Rd. About a mile down this road you’ll see a large green sign (see photo); continue through the Archery Club’s property turning right to follow signs to the campsites at the end of the road.

Report Check-In

Nice place with the exception of the man in the pics with a black truck and six pit bulls on the loose. He refused to tie them up, one charged at me. The man could have picked other spots but he chose to be right across from me. He was pacing and talking to himself, chain smoking and kicking the dogs. I had to leave.

Report Check-In

We got there after midnight and had the place to ourselves on a Wednesday night. Camping spots are marked by the wide blue spray painted marks on the trees as you’re driving down the road getting close to the archery place. Go beyond that for a lake site with a large turnaround for larger rigs. Maybe 5-10 min off Hwy 40 all on paved roads. The GPS did try to take us down a dirt road but thanks to everyone here, we kept going and hit the paved road in. Super quiet and starry! Woke up to a pretty little lake! Great stop off the highway — highly recommend! 4 bars of 5G (AT&T)!

Report Check-In

Got stuck in the mud and had to call for a tow following the gps in wet conditions. DO NOT USE GOOGLE MAPS to get here

Report Check-In

Lovely and just as described
Happy to find it.
1 other camper

Report Check-In

Nice big turn out. No one is here. Beautiful.

Report Check-In

There are camp sites and makes in blue paint around trees. Talked to local who said no issue. Some horseback riders trotted by and waved. Directions were way off and searching for Fawn Lily got me close enough to go down the road with green sign to find. Nice and quiet.

Report Check-In

Arrived late, nobody else was there. Felt super secluded, no noise, no bothers. Water spigot worked.

The signs do say you need a fishing/hunting/camping permit, but oh well.

Report Check-In

Nice place for an overnight stay. I parked back by the pond. Was peaceful, but the large dragonlike locust thingys kept trying to charge me (kinda annoying) and the dust got pretty bad during the day. But beautiful morning to wake up to. Felt safe, a few random vehicles drove around but didn’t stay.

Report Check-In

still just as good of a spot as it was several years ago.

Report Check-In

Really nice spot!
must be a cell tower nearby because I get 50Mb up/down with att unboosted
water spigot still works and tastes great
a few locals and one other camper came through
lots of tree cover, so minimal solar exposure
a few fire rings

Report Check-In

Description and other information was spot on, three different areas to camp, beautiful and quiet. We had it all to ourselves.

Report Check-In

great quiet spot! thank you for this place!

Report Check-In

Great little place. Spoke with a local and he said there are many cotton mouth, copperhead, and rattlesnakes up here. Didn’t see any. But I’m sure that’s how it is all over Tennessee/Arkansas.

Report Check-In

Just like everyone else said Google map is wrong take Fawn road the next road down Google will reroute follow GPS.
Looks like at lease 10 camp sites if not more.

Report Check-In

Google navigated us to a dirt road and as instructed continued on to the next road. There was an empty spot marked off in blue but we continued on to the lake. Quiet. Decent Verizon signal. Lots of grass for a dog to run and play. Some fishermen came by in the morning but didn't bother us.

Report Check-In

Quiet, out in the woods, easily accessible

Report Check-In

Perfect! Glad I didn’t settle for the rest stops nearby. As described and yet I fell for the Google erroneous early turn off. Quiet and restful night.

Report Check-In

Two designated camping areas. They are blue lines painted on the tree indicating designated areas. One water spigot around the designated areas and another water spigot near the public archery. Another nice camping spot near the lake if you go a bit further.

Report Check-In

Great location and good cell signal. Instructions on iOverlander were spot on. No one was here when we arrived.

Report Check-In

Arrived at night. Quiet, quaint and perfect. Google does take you to the dirt road, so follow instructions from the other check in.

Look forward to seeing this place in the morning.
Dog friendly, large RV friendly. Only one other camper.

Report Check-In

Very nice site, spent a quiet night with 2-3 bars of Verizon cellular service.

Report Check-In

As advertised. Quiet and tucked away yet just minutes from the highway. As another poster mentions Google will try to have you turn on a dirt road once you get off on route 11. Instead of doing that make the next right at fawn acres Lane and then you can go around to the easy entrance on the tarmac. I also don’t know what people are talking about with these designated camping spots because I didn’t see any of them but I parked just along the lake and had no problem at all. Forest service even came a few times and didn’t say anything so I think all is well. It’s a very small place and a bit of a challenge to sort out in the pitch dark but I would highly recommend it since it’s so easy to access from the highway but gives you all the quiet and natural setting you could ask for.

Report Check-In

Easily accessible stop off of I-40. Free designated sites. Perfect escape from a day of highway travel.

Report Check-In

had a really nice night here to ourselves. parked right by the water. quiet and easy to access with our van.

Report Check-In

I would suggest camping in the designated areas and not by the pond.

Report Check-In

I ditto much of what has already been said about this beautiful spot. We stayed for one night and experienced a lot of local drive by traffic, one individual yelled at us “you can’t camp here“ we decided to stay anyway as it was quite late at night when this occurred. No other disturbances all night. We left at 10 AM. One person came early to fish. I would suggest camping in the day

Report Check-In

Highly recommend! Easy to find, very peaceful and quiet. Beautiful lake !

Report Check-In

Nice quiet location but lots of bugs at night

Report Check-In

Love love love this place! Quiet and peaceful! You can go to the designated campground or go in further for the lake! I opted out for the lake. There were one tent and a truck when I arrived late with my converted camper van at 9pm. But no one bothered and was able to have the whole lake to myself the next day since they left early! The spot I got was right next to the lake and under a tree with nice shade and wild flowers along the water bank. So perfect and had good privacy. You could hear fish jumping out of water. Butterflies and dragonflies everywhere

Be sure to follow the main road. Google maps (on iPhone) told me to go off road and I almost got stuck in a ditch. But there should not be off road to this site.

Potable water is by the first left campsite you see as you’re coming in.

Verizon gets you 1-2 bars, not that stable. But I could stream YouTube and surf internet with no problem.

Report Check-In

I was all alone and very peaceful.
I camped for free and no one checked in on me. It was a great find!

Report Check-In

Beautiful! Free! Empty! Many flats spots and mosquitoes.

Report Check-In

Very Nice spot not so far from the highway but not To close. very quiet. no cell reception but Internet good. was there yesterday. Not sure at the begenning cause I am alone and there was nobodyelse but I felt enough safe after a moment. Another rv arrived couple of hours after me and make me feel safer. Good stop for one night or 2.

Report Check-In

Excellent spot, really quiet and not so far from the highway. Perfect for a quick overnight.

Report Check-In

Quiet, roomy, easy to find and best of all its free! Watch out for mosquitoes! It’s January, close to 70 degrees and they are out and searching for blood!

Report Check-In

Very quiet, alone for the night! Recommended

Report Check-In

Perfect instructions from the original poster! Google maps tried to take us down the dirt road, but if you continue a further 800m, there is a road that leads to this spot. Really peaceful and not far from the interstate. Perfect for an overnight!

Report Check-In

Campsites are great! Quiet! Families were camping there and nice!

Report Check-In

Nice, peaceful spot regardless of the I-40 traffic in the background. No mosquitoes but lots of dragonflies! There are multiple marked camp spots throughout the wildlife area. However, this spot is pretty awesome so no need to look elsewhere unless you want to stay more than a few days and want some privacy. Conservation officer came by and he was very nice. He told me it is bow season which explains the traffic. Spigot by the building worked but not others.

Report Check-In

Very nice spot close to the highway. We saw many campsites off the dirt road but decided to set up near the pond. A few locals came through and we chatted for a bit. all very friendly. It was Friday and this looks the the spot to come and hang out with a few beers. In the am we picked up trash from others and left.

Report Check-In

Nice place. We enjoyed the night. Thanks for shareing

Report Check-In

Nice and quite! Beautiful spot just off I40 about 6 minutes.

Report Check-In

We stayed here one night without any problems. We parked next to the pond out back, there were RV’s parked closer to the entrance on both sides of the road. Near the pond it was extremely buggy and unpleasant to be outside at dark while we cooked. Great quick spot off the highway that worked for us one night.

Report Check-In

This is a great spot that’s just off the interstate. On a Monday night we had the entire place to ourselves. You could hear the faint sound of the interstate but the predominant sounds are from nature.

Report Check-In

We parked up by the pond and ended up surrounded by fireflies at night. Magic.

Report Check-In

Boon docked on the lake, nice and quiet. The GPS will take you to a dirt road of the main road do not take the dirt road take the next paved road which will lead you to the lake at the archery club. We also noticed along the road up to the archery club rvs were boon docking aswell

Report Check-In

Quiet, easy to find. So glad we found this place after our night's plans fell through and we needed to find a camp after dark. Didn't test the water pump. we were able to let our dog off leash and get some exercise.

Report Check-In

Very cool little place. Some random traffic that is a little strange, especially since it's a dead end road and people driving down in the dark, but no issues. Lots of mosquitoes.

Report Check-In

there are several spots along the road. very quiet.

Report Check-In

Excellent, free spot underneath the trees. Many spots available on both sides of the road. Faint highway noise but otherwise very quiet. Free potable water from a spigot. No garbage or facilities - please pack out your trash!

Report Check-In

This was a really pleasant place. Very calm, flat open areas, amongst tall trees. Wood to make fire, fresh water. The sites we stayed at are marked with a small sign, and are on opposing sides of the road a little before reaching the archery. There were mosquitos but other than that we really enjoyed it.

Report Check-In

This is an area of large, flat dispersed campsites of the department of wildlife and fisheries near Hazen. Several campsites are available. FREE!
Nice and quiet, even on Memorial Day weekend!
If your navigator sends you to a dirt road, take the next one, #708, then go right on #122. It will lead you to an archery club; the camps are around there.
