It's just a parking area on the side of a tourism center, simple, but works. on side of YPF gas station.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We sleeped 2 nights here, and it's OK, but you can part at YPF too... doesn't have any restaurant anymore, now it's a store that's not open at night, so you can stay 😉
Report Check-InWe and other overlanders where kindly asked to leave the place by the people from the restaurant, due to it’s a “propiedad privada”. Twice at different nights. The YPF guys next door where happy to let us stay for two nights.
Report Check-Inthis place is not allowed to sleep.
we stayed one night, but in the other day the owner asked us to live.
you can sleep in the ypf (gas station)
quiet place for a night in Tilcara. for coming dont take the entrance if the gaz station but see for the store selling paint.
Report Check-InWe arrived late from Humahuaca, on the way there aren‘t good overnight spots. This one is perfect for a night. Warm showers (30.- for 10mins) and a good shop at YPF. Restaurant was closed, so no internet.
Report Check-InGood place for one night and hot showers at bathrooms of YPF (30pesos)
Pw restaurant : [Passwords are not allowed]
A good place to stay for the night. Still no WIFI. The restaurant was closed and nobody knew the wifi key. YPF still no wifi. We filled up here with diesel and water before going to the Paso Jama.
Report Check-InOk for one night. We felt secure. Toilets of Tourism Office only for personal. Shower at YPF 30ARS.
Report Check-InSuper quite and safe. YPF bathrooms for 5 pesos, hot shower for 20. Restorant wifi ok. The password still the same.
Report Check-InWe spent almost a week here with others travelers without any problem. Showers at YPF station $20.
Report Check-InThe parking place belongs to the ypf, we ask and it was ok to spend the night.if you drink something in the restaurant, you get the wifi password, it reaches the parkingplace
Report Check-Ingood for one night... if you stay a second night the owner of the restaurant will send the waiter to tell.you the parking is his... not from the tourist office and they you can't stay there...
Report Check-InLugar super tranquilo para passar a noite, banho quente na YPF por $20,00 pesos, estamos na companhia de uma kombi e mais carros que dormiram por aqui. Recomendado.
Report Check-InPerfect parking lot to spend a night. Next to YPF, where there aré showers for 20 pesos. Good for big and small trucks.
Report Check-InWe slept here for 3 nights and had no problems. Clean bathrooms, hot shower for 20pesos - 10min, other campers were here too. No wifi and a bit noisy but a safe spot for sure
Report Check-InBehind the tourist office at RN9 is a paved parking area that is bit aside of the YPF petrol station. There is not to much light around - good for a quite sleep. And it was not noisy.
Brandnew toilets (with the usual insufficiencies) at the tourist office are open from 8am until 8pm. For the night you could go to the YPF station close by. For showers you can also go to YPF station (see separate entry in iOverlander).
There is no WiFi from the tourist office (only the camera WiFi) but there is a restaurant next door with WiFi where you could ask for the password.
YPF has NO WiFi in their shop (yet).
