Just after the bridge (58km from Ponte Alta), a nice place to camp and swim.

I arrived there planning to spend the night, but the place was so filthy and dirty that I change my mind in a second. Look like a open latrine with toilet paper scattered all over the place, the atmosphere is really bad and I decide to drive further on and find a place like 20 kilometers ahead, I already marked the place in the app as Jalapão Wild Camp. I dont recommend rio vermelho to camp for the night
Report Check-InFast flowing river, not cold at all. Used it for a skinny dip and continued toward Mateiros.
Report Check-InVery nice wild camping spot next to a small river. Pull out just next to the bridge. Clean setting with several flat options for parking. The night and early morning were very quiet. Several interested tour buses stopped by around 9:00 am to check out the river and our rig.
Report Check-InCamped by the river next to the bridge to break the drive to Ponte Alta. Very quiet at night. Free.
