Something not right?

Description

Very nice and clean finca turned hostal on outskirts of Sogamoso. There is room for a few vehicles on a pretty level grassy area. Free coffee in the morning and kitchen facilities to use. Very clean bathrooms and suicide showers, the right one is better. It was pretty quiet and dark at night. They have 4 friendly, very curious dogs. Owner is friendly and very knowledgeable about the area.

We just fit thru the arch entrance, we are 2.7 m high and we had a few cm to spare (Jan 2023: our 3m tall Sprinter van was fine). As of Jan 2023 it's 30k pp. May need an extension chord for electricity. Decent wifi and great Claro reception. Juan (owner) let us fill our tank with water.

A very nice place to stay for a few days! Juan is a very nice and helpful host with whom you can have interesting conversations. Space for several campers in the garden. Bathroom of multi-bed room for shared use and additional toilet in the common room with kitchen. Breakfast can be booked if required. Wifi ok.
We paid 40k per night for 2 people in the camper.

We arrived thanks to i-Overlander. The place has plenty of space for rigs and a beautiful grass to walk on your bare feet. Juan Pablo was a great host and was eager to make our stay confortable.

Report Check-In

Not much to add, the owners are really nice and it is a good place to relax. We were charged 10K for using the laundry machine. So not sure what the actual price is.

Report Check-In

Absolutely no issue driving in with our 3m tall car. I think it depends a bit on how wide you are to fit through the gate. I've added a photo for reference, any Sprinter van type should be fine.

The site is nice, beautiful garden and the people are friendly. The price is 30.000cop pp though, which is a bit much but there aren't many other spots around and we needed to work online. The WiFi is fine and the Claro reception fantastic (35+mb/s). Dogs are super nice but be aware of the geese.. We also did laundry here at 20k per load.

Wonderful place to rest and relax. Good WiFi, nice hangout areas, gym/yoga room, hot water showers, and kitchen area.

Price is now 30k per person without breakfast and 35k including a simple breakfast.

4 dogs on site but all very nice. Owners are wonderful.

Still a nice place. 25.000 pppn.
We were happy with the living room because it can get chilly at night.

Report Check-In

It is a very nice place, with large spaces for camping. There are birds like peacocks, ducks and geese. It is next to a road that is very busy with trucks, which when passing, brake with the engine, they make a lot of noise and at night it is annoying.

Report Check-In

stayed one night. it's nice enough and good amenities but being just down the main road, it's fairly noisy when tent camping. not much atmosphere, when I was there but fine for a quick stopover. secure parking for all vehicles.

its 25000 cop pppn now. shower is hot and kitchen/relax area is nice with a fireplace. everybody very friendly and helpful.

Report Check-In

This place is absolutely wonderful. Its got everything you need and more. The ownera and staff are incredibly friendly and Felipe knows every single person in town and can help you with any issue. More importantly their dog Maja and rabbit Lolita are the most wonderful animals.

stayed there for a couple of days, did laundry there (only round 20'000 Pesos for a big load). Staff is lovely, very uncomplicated, especially Nelly :-) They offer coffee in the morning, but sometimes they don't mention it at the reception desk. Go and ask - Nelly will invite you! They also offer breakfast (we didn't have any).
Wifi is okay close to reception or directly in the kitchen (other password). Could fill up our water tank in the van for free. A little bit freezy during the night, but hey, nothing against some cosy time in the van, hehe.

Nice and safe place to stay in the garden of the Finca. Toilets and Showers are clean. WIFI works well at reception. Staff is nice and helpful. The dogs are annoying and the reason because we spent only one night there. We payed 20000 pesos per people per night.

Report Check-In

We stopped at the place. It looks nice. $40,000 to camp. Non negotiable. We thought it was too high of a fee to camp.

We left and drove 1 hour to Lago de Tota where there are dozens of options where you can ask to camp with a view.

Its a nice place. 20.000 and 5000 breakfast. You can start a lot of inresting activities.

Beautiful place and super clean but a bit more than we are used to paying. And if you're sleeping in a ground tent, they don't allow you to pitch it near where you park you car. 15k per person. Wifi, bathrooms, showers, and kitchen that you have access to if you want it.

A superb place to camp-we spent 4 nights here in our landrover and roof tent. The finca has rooms but we parked and camped in the beautiful gardens. The setting is so relaxing and we slept so well here! We paid 20,000 per person per night and an extra 5,000 each for breakfast. Juan Pablo is the owner and is incredibly helpful and a lovely guy. There is plenty of information available about the activities in the area. There is good wifi, hot showers (although there is a knack to getting them hot!), and full use of the facilities in the finca including a kitchen and lounge area. They also provide a laundry service. Breakfast was simple but delicious with superb coffee! This was such a good stop for us and we highly recommend it.

Awesome place to stop. 15000 to place a tent. 5000 for breakfast. Friendly people, beautiful gardens. Lots of space.

Report Check-In

We paid 15,000. Great kitchen/ common areas. Wifi was pretty good most of the time. Price included hot breakfast.

Report Check-In

Like the previous people, we had a great stay here! Wifi was working very well inside the house but not out in the garden where we were camped. Breakfast in the morning is an excellent deal at 5000 pesos per person - served at communal tables. Paid 10,000 pesos per person to camp. Highly recommended.

They said thhey have good wifi, but it was not working while we were here. Apparently a truck hit a power pole and they were repairing it. Juan (owner) let us fill our tank with water.

- 10.000 COP per person
- wifi
- hot showers
- kitchen
- English spoken
- beautiful place on the road to Laguna de Tota, parking in a nice garden (wifi barely reaches there), superb lounge with a fireplace and other common areas, hammocks, yoga classes if you're into that, etc. etc.
- When coming from Sogamoso look for the gate on your left, if you miss it, it can be hard to turn around later. If you have a big rig and are coming from south, you might have to turn around in town and come back.
