Lovely old farm on a hill outside Hilton. The camping area is small with shade. Many quaint cottages available. Nice outdoor kitchen and ablutions for campers and backpackers. Great places to walk up the hill, around the farm and through the woods. Easy access to Midlands Meander, restaurants and shopping. Quiet except for Wednesday night when The Barn comes alive with music, mostly good. Camping rates ZAR120ppn. May get discount when you stay a while. Does get misty. However on a clear day you can see the Drakensberg.

Will only be available (by permission of the manager) for the next 3 to 4 months.
Report Check-InWe were looking for a campsite near Pietermaritzburg so we have called the Knoll guest Farm (when we were just in front of the gate) and the women told us not to have any campsite, so beware
Report Check-InSo sad! This used to be such a nice place to camp. Now they cut down many of the trees. Very little shade in the camp which still turns muddy when it rains. It appears the owners are not very interested in campers any more and have shifted to events and high paying guests. Event “barn” close to camp and gets very loud till late at night.
Report Check-InRundown ablutions, camping area is a muddy mess, wifi broken at time of our visit, very heavy and broken gate fell on me and the jeep which could have been a disaster (very dangerous situation). Extremely loud party happening on a Saturday night directly beside our camp.
