Something not right?

Description

Large RV park behind hotel ($19usd per night plus tax). The park is nothing to write home about, full hook up available but the RV bathrooms were locked, not a big issue, we were able to use the hotel lobby, it did mean no shower access. Access to the hotel facilities is a big plus, lovely pool area, great views from the patio, and an ok if pricey restaurant (with slightly pornographic art, see pic)

Trying to find restaurants based on Google map and Apple suggestions has been a challenge. I’ve had both mapping programs lead me to places they recommended, which did not exist, at least at the locations they directed me to. I decided to eat here tonight, because the food had looked very good in presentation as I walked through the restaurant before. Food was decent, but mine was served lukewarm, and the sodium content was through the roof. And that’s coming from someone who likes a fair amount of salt in their food. I found asadero doney and pollo feliz to both be excellent down by marina fonatur

Oh, forgot to mention, dogs quiet down at night and WiFi sometimes cuts out and you have to manually reconnect

So I can now confirm there is currently hot water, however, in one of the two men’s showers you cannot turn on the cold water. Bathroom is pretty run down in general. Site 69 is best for morning shade and the one opposite for afternoon. Has the biggest tree in the rv lot (12ish feet tall). Stagnant fountain in parking lot should be an ideal mosquito breeding ground, however, I haven’t seen very many of them. They do tend to congregate in the bathrooms, as there is always water there. Most RV travelers I spoke to said this is the best option in the area.

On a positive note, the grounds of the hotel proper are pretty nice. There’s a nice view of San Carlos and Tetakawi from the courtyard and the pool is clean. Beach is rocky, but there are some beaches further down that have some sand. Water looked a little murky, and since there is known problems with sewage runoff in Guaymas, I don’t know that I would risk getting in.

Sites are very basic and amount to little more than a parking space with water and electric. Dogs in nearby homes and apartments bark pretty much continuously

Bathrooms work, but aren’t very clean and there’s no soap at the sink. Hot water flows, but I didn’t see if it got hot. No place besides over the shower door to put your clothes. WiFi works well in the lobby

438$ a night no matter the number of people. Very nice hotel. Swimming pool. A bit expensive but everything nice. Electricity and water at site. Wifi doesn’t reach the camping sites. Nice access to the beach and very nice view on mountains around.

We stayed 3 nights here. Came here for the good WiFi and it works perfectly. Ended up staying three nights. Did a maintenance in Fiat/Jeep/RAM/Chrysler garage. Great restaurant for seafood not far from the hotel (Mariscos)! The pool is nice and you have great access to the sea, with a lot of fish! Did some snorkelling here as well as a cool aquapark. 18 dollar a night, maybe not the cheapest place but you get the benefits of a hotel.

This is a hotel with a parking area for RV’s with 3 services (water, 30 amp electric and sewer hookups) for about $20 USD. Great to spend one night to use all these services and then going to the free beaches the rest of the week.

Hotel pool is very nice to use but cold. The beach is nice but forget about swimming as it is full of rocks.

Report Check-In
