Description

This is a great place to visit, lots of fun free tastings, $15 wine tasting, or just ice cream and espresso. YOU MUST CHECK IN DURING BUSINESS HOURS on the iPad, and then they give you a parking pass. Nice espresso in the morning.

Only allows trailers, RVs, campers, to stay overnight. NOT passenger vehicles, tents, etc. according to the woman at the counter. Great breakfast burrito!

Latest Check-Ins

As others mentioned, they're open 8-6 and you check in on the iPad. When I checked in, they asked if I was a member of Harvest Hosts and said that they have a lot of people coming tonight. So personally, I wouldn't recommend coming after hours and just "taking a spot" - because you could be taking a spot from someone with a harvest host reservation.

Their wine tasting is $15 for 5 pours. But they also have happy hour Mon-Thurs 4-6! $7 wines and $9 cheese tasting, brie tasting, charcuterie board, among other items. I got a brie tasting and glass of wine for $16.

2 bars AT&T

Level parking spaces but some road noise

Report Check-In

You can stay for one night without Harvest Hosts membership. Check in at the store.

Report Check-In

No problems, just head in and sign up on the iPad, then ask for a parking pass for camping. Currently open 8-6. If you arrive late, I think they ask you to sign in the next morning.
The field they use for parking in the summer appears to be closed for the season, so parking is along the back of the lot (grass), or along the train/old vehicle display on the south side of the lot. All spots are numbered and they ask you to park in a numbered spot if possible.
No Jiffy John available.
Great cell service.

Report Check-In

Large gravel parking lot for RVs. There were about (15) here during our stay. Blue Heron sells (3) locally made Brie cheeses. A (5) glass, 2oz wine tasting was $10. StarLink worked great. ATT had 4-bars. No outdoor cooking allowed.

Report Check-In

Pretty dope spot! Checked in at the iPad inside, I was worried they’d turn us away since we’re not an RV or fancy rig (we’re a ‘97 chevy express that looks kinda unassuming from the outside) but they didn’t ask any questions. Gave them our business with a wine tasting as well. A lot more vans pulled in later in the evening. There was even one sedan camper, though I’m not sure if they checked in or not seeing as they pulled in after dark.
There’s currently a port-o-potty in the camping field, not sure if it’s there usually. There’s also a water spigot but I don’t know if it was potable.
Would stay again!

Report Check-In

RV Camping on a big grass field. Companies sells various foods, cheese and wine inside. Petting zoo on property. Good cell with Verizon. You can stay for free for two days. Register inside on ipad. Quite lovely but lots of other RVs.

Report Check-In

Excellent stop, IMO better than Tillamook Creamery - less like a theme park and more catering to travelers - great wine, food, ice cream and friendly accommodating of camping (only self contained rigs), even showing up fifteen minutes before close. Had a beer, a glass of wine, some cheese and were welcomed to free camping. Will always stop here from now on.

Report Check-In

Great spot, indeed! Worth the money you will spend in the shop. We left an amount compareable to KOA fees there, but got fine cheese, pottery, jam and wine there and slept for free. This is a Harvest Host site, but will fit without HH also for sure.

Report Check-In

Free overnight parking for 2 days. Grassy field with plenty of space. Respect posted rules. See my attached photo of the response I received when I emailed. Camping is welcome

Report Check-In

we just pulled in at 9:30 pm or so. found a spot . it's a big grass lot. there is a bunch of rigs from vans to bigger motor homes. we are in a van with 2 dogs. no problem. great 1 2 nights for sure.

Report Check-In

What a gem of a find. It’s like staying on a farm with your entire introverted nomadic family (lol). They opened up a massive field like someone mentioned, and you just check-in at the front desk to stay your night.

Report Check-In

They opened up the grass lot, so there are lots of spots now, all pretty flat. This is always a good spot for an overnight. They are a Harvest Host, but anyone self-contained can stay.

Report Check-In

they are open 8am-7pm daily (their website and google maps says 6pm, but not true, at least in the summer!) easy sign up on their iPad— the woman told us the pass is good for 1 night, but i’ve also read it’s good for 2 (we stayed 2 with no issues). so grateful to have such a sweet, safe and free place to park our van overnight! walked around the delightful shop earlier in the day and walked around the petting farm area in the evening, without the crowds. great place, great people! met friendly fellow campers. definitely support the Blue Heron!! (clean porta potty available & good AT&T and Verizon)

Report Check-In

Stayed here for one quick night. Bathrooms were clean, but I personally found the whole place a bit cringey especially with the fake baby cow displayed in the tiny cage.

Report Check-In

appreciate Blue Heron French Cheese Company for allowing free overnight! Got T-Mobile LTE, green grass, lots of fellow RVers (we are in a Van), and a few peacocks to share the evening. plenty of food trucks and breweries in the area.

Report Check-In

A great place to stay - very friendly staff. I especially recommend the seafood chowder and wine tasting that are not expensive and delicious

Report Check-In

As described above. Poor cellular reception but WiFi in shop/restaurant

Report Check-In

Really nice campspot if you're in a self contained van or RV. Free 2 night stay allowed possible more with permission. Cafe has actually decent prices on food, mostly everything is under $10. The farm animals are funny to watch but the roosters do start making noise at 5am. If you park all the way in the back row you can't hear them or the road noise. Laundry and restaurants just down the road.

Report Check-In

We are sleeping here tonight, very friendly place. Lots of room, petting zoo, cheeze, wine tasting (5 for 10$ or 15$), breakfast available.
Waw thank you for letting us stay here for free!

Exploravan, Québec - Costa Rica!

Report Check-In

Excellent. As described. Met lots of friendly travelers.

Report Check-In

This place is fantastic! Stayed two nights here and met some cool folks. Just make sure you register at the store then you’re good to go! Perfect spot to chill but remember it’s a harvest host and there are rules, so please be respectful and responsible.

Report Check-In

This is a great place to stay for a night! My only complaint is that two groups were using outdoor propane fire rings in a grassy field and full size grills. Both are not permitted here. The rules say no outdoor cooking. This is not a campground. It is a respectable, Harvest Host facility to stay overnight and it is also a business. You are a guest.
You are supposed to be as stealth, quiet , and ‘self-contained’ as can be. Do not ruin it for everyone else. Blue Heron is being very kind to allow overnight parking. Ask before you fire up your huge, outdoor grills, fire-rings, and generators.

https://harvesthosts.com/rv-camping/simple-rules-harvest-host-etiquette/amp/

General HH Rule from their website: If you are parking in the general parking area, keep outdoor items, such as chairs, a table, rugs, a grill, decorations, and other outdoor items packed up.

Report Check-In

I didn't read all the reviews so maybe this was mentioned, but they only allow overnight campers who have RVs, trailers, etc. NOT if you're just sleeping in your Subaru outback or other such common vehicles. which doesn't make much sense to me, but oh well. Fred Meyers it is! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Report Check-In

Awesome place to stay for a night! As others mentioned, you have to check in during business hours (which are 8am to 7pm in the summer). This is a Harvest Host location, but non-HH members are allowed to stay for one night. The overnight RV parking lot is a large grass field that can accommodate 50+ RVs and is apparently video monitored. There were ~20 RVs/camper vans the night I stayed, but everyone was very respectful and quiet. The field is far enough away from the road that there is minimal traffic noise. In the shop you can buy homemade cheese, wine, chocolate, as well as a bunch of other local products. There is also a restaurant that serves very reasonably priced breakfast and lunch. Outside, there is an animal farm with donkeys, goats, alpacas and other animals that visitors are allowed to pet.

Report Check-In

Wonderful Harvest Host location, love it, there are only 4 of us here, great availability for a long weekend! Thinking about becoming harvest host members!

Report Check-In

great place to land for the night. Free for 1 night. we enjoyed a wine tasting & Blue Heron cheese. if you’re traveling with kids they’ll love the animals. animal & road noise. not the most quite but easy & safe

Report Check-In

Very good night spend here. You can see all the animals of the little farm, the roosters will nicely wake you up in the morning! You have to check-in on the iPad inside the store, free wifi, and toilets inside. Level spot, plenty of space for everyone, good service with t-mobile.
Bm.aroundtheworld from Switzerland

Report Check-In

We are not part of the harvest host but no problem at all to stay here for sleeping. You have to register on the Ipad in the shop and that’s it! Nice staff, quiet parking. Other rv and van here but enough room for everybody. Free Wifi in the shop. Lots of animals at the entrance like a small zoo! Great spot!! Thank you!

Report Check-In

Very nice place. Parking overnight is free of charge. Many animals for kids which we feed. The store offers wine tasting, gifts and cheese.

Report Check-In

Perfect spot for up to two nights max free of charge. Next to cheese the blue heron spirit tasting. Parking lot large gravel can take 50 vehicles. Close to fuel and groceries.

Report Check-In

I’m a Harvest Host member, so check-in was super easy and straight forward. Maybe 7 vehicles in the field on a Sunday night. Many wonderful things to consume and purchase. An Oasis in an otherwise “not so welcome to vans anymore” Oregon Coastline.

Report Check-In

They did not let me stay. I am not part of harvest hosts though. Other comments made it seem like you didn't need to be

Report Check-In

Lots of rvs, travel trailers, and vans stayed here. We enjoyed it too. You have to register on the ipad inside during business hours and they give you a parking pass. You can stay max two nights. Be sure to show them your appreciation by purchasing something from their store. Oh also go tour the tillamook creamery! That place is cool too!

Report Check-In

Arrived after dark and stayed without issues. Open grassy lot with plenty of space to park. Port-a-potty on site. Good breakfast in the AM. Cute petting zoo on premises; the llamas were getting haircuts when we left.

Report Check-In

Here tonight with 20+ others. Haven’t heard of harvest hosts, but will definitely look into it. We got the one free night and it’s right outside of town with a portapotty and quite enough lawn parking. I underestimated the value of expressly approved overnighting.

Report Check-In

amazing spot! good cell service and it's on a cute farm! there is a petting zoo and tons of other RVs/rigs parked there. one important note, it's a harvest host location that allows anyone to park there but there are limits. you have to check in with the store manager when you arrive, they give you a parking pass. the store closes at 6pm so plan accordingly. also they allow non harvest host members to stay only one night, harvest host members can stay up to 2 nights.
so close to the Tillamook creamery, and the ocean is not far either. great stay!

Report Check-In

Great Harvest Hosts spot that allows anyone to stay overnight after registering at the store. Very little road noise.

Report Check-In

Great spot. Stayed here for 3 rainy days. Good cell coverage & a neat place to stay.

Report Check-In

This place is amazing!! Literally one of my favorite overnights. I got here around 1pm and it was crowded for lunch but they told me to park as far back as possible. There is free WiFi (iffy but it’s there) and good service. I was there on a Saturday and it definitely fills up! But still so much better than an overpriced rv park.

Report Check-In

Love this big grassy lot for a quiet sleep! When you check in, they do tell you it's only one night free parking for non Harvest Host members, and but the permit they give you for your dash says two nights. There are rules about where their property line is so try to mind them.

Report Check-In

Great Spot! We purchased some ice cream and asked about parking our car and sleeping overnight. They just had us check in my filling out some info and they gave us paper to put in our window.
Get there before they close!
We left and did some sight seeing and came back late and just pulled right in and parked! Its just a giant field. Slept great! Very quit! You can hear the road but it’s not too loud.

Report Check-In

Get permission to stay and register before they close at 6pm. Amazing place! Good for kids, can feed goat, pigs and chickens. Breakfast available the next day, reasonable price. Highly recommended

Report Check-In

Very nice place to stay. Register at check out counter, purchase encouraged. Portapotty for off hours, good cell reception. 2 night max unless otherwise arranged.

Report Check-In

Quiet, safe spot for a few nights! The staff are super sweet and friendly! Just be sure to check in before 6 pm when they close. They are a part of Harvest Hosts. The bathrooms are super clean and it’s a good spot to get breakfast in the morning. Good WiFi! Also do yourself a favor and get a bottle of their label Pinot Noir.

Report Check-In

Car campers are not allowed to stay even for one night. Was told by the owner I would be towed even with a Harvest Home pass.

Stayed at the Fred Meyer just north of here. No problems.

Report Check-In

just a basic parking lot to stay in with the people are really friendly and the food and products are really nice. This is a good thing so I hope people will be respectful for campers in the future!

Report Check-In

We arrived last evening and registered only this morning and no problem. It’s a « Harvest Hosts » site but the lady at the cashier said to us it was ok for 1 night even if we are not a member. We bought Pepper Brie Cheese. 😍

Report Check-In

Oh my god.... How can you use the name "FRENCH" for this shop, there is nothing French inside, no camenbert, only sauces, fudge, jelly, etc. We, French people, have a lot to do to educate NA people to what is really French. Hope France will never become so,!

Report Check-In

Still awesome ! Got here for First Friday ( first Friday of the month ) and they had a band playing and free wine tasting! Enjoyed their delicious breakfast in the morning, too !

Report Check-In

Great place to spend the night. Down the street from the Tillamook Creamery.

Report Check-In

Great stop, would recommend to anyone passing through. Allow max of two days, just check in with the cashier during business hours. Super friendly staff, plus the cheese and wine were excellent.

Report Check-In

As mentioned before, just need to register at the cashier inside, lots of free food tasting, no toilet when the store is closed! We’re about 5-7 rv/van that night . Can ear
Route 101 but a great safe place to stay!

Report Check-In

Extremely friendly people and nice shop with wine, cheese and other gourmet food items. We could stay in our van as long as we kept everything clean.

Report Check-In

On a adoré cet endroit. Tu entres tu t'inscris et tu t'installes. Plein d'animaux . Un peu bruyant mais c'est le chant des animaux ;)

Report Check-In

We tried to sleep here in our van for the night but were advised by the girl on the desk that only RVs and motorhomes are able to stay in the carpark. Looks like a nice spot though

Report Check-In

Exactly as expected.
Nice and friendly, closing at 6PM.
They don't even ask to purchase anything to register. Some tastings and gray toilets.
Didn't hear the roosters.

Report Check-In

What an amazing store. They are so welcoming and allow you to spend the night as long as you register during the hours they are open. If you want to stay here then get here around 5:30 so you have plenty of time to register as they close at 6. Had a huge ice cream cone and it was beyond delicious. Can’t wait to explore more of the store in the morning.

Report Check-In

On les retrouve sur iOverlander, Harvest Host et sur d'autres sites. Nous étions 6 ou 7, mais l'endroit est parfait. La boutique vend des fromages, du vin et pleins d'autres trucs à manger.

Report Check-In

Must close early in this season. We arrived shortly after 6 and they were closed. Since must register during hours, and no one else was staying, we didn’t stay.

Get here early if you want to stay!

Report Check-In

Awesome place to stay. limit is two nights. met some really cool people here.

Report Check-In

There are some basic guidelines to follow if you are going to stay here. The deal is to check in during business hours and OBTAIN PERMISSION TO STAY! Fill out the form and make a purchase. Don’t sneak in after hours!!! The rules say no tents, but there’s a tent camper that pulled in well after closing and set up. This one is in a Winnebago Trend, started his generator and woke everyone up at 6:45 am because he couldn’t live without a piece of toast to go with his coffee. Another guy snuck a huge bag of trash over to the property owner’s trash bin at 7 am, before the business was open. If people keep abusing the rules, I’m not sure that this free accommodation will not be available for much longer.

Report Check-In

Grassy parking area to park for vans/rvs/staying.

Fun cheese and wine tasting.

No tents, sleeping outside, cooking or campfires allowed.

11 others here in parking night I stayed.

Some road noise but not bad.

Google said they were closed at 6 but were still open on a Sunday at 7...

Report Check-In

It’s a shop with delicious tastings, some farm animals outside and table/benches. Indeed they offer free overnight parking upon purchase BUT only for fully self contained RVs (no toilets for 12h during nighttime).

Report Check-In

Great spot. Friendly staff and not a bad place to spend a night or two while sauced up!

Report Check-In

Right, we just bought a couple of beers and asked the woman for overnight camping and she said is ok, just sign the guest book, fast wifi inside the store and clean bathrooms

Report Check-In

they have 4 of their own cheesexs to tey and 4 or 5 of their own wines (free cheese, fee for wine). great free place to stay but the roosters woke us up before we were ready to be awoken. lots of animals to see and pet and they are open until 8 PM on the first friday of each month.

Report Check-In

yes, a verry nice place, we parked a bit outside from the main parking lot what was nice and quite.

Report Check-In

It was a nice place. Not too crowed. Food was good but the bathrooms only work from 8am to 8pm that the store is open. Something to keep in mind.

Report Check-In

amazing. Just check in at front desk.

Report Check-In

Hands down the best place we have stopped for the night on our trip from San Diego to Oregon. Just buy something from the store and tell them you want to register for overnight parking (free). Bathroom in facility and wifi. There are animals all over. Three other vans and an RV sharing the HUGE lot.

Don't hesitate to stay here. Skip the air museum.

Report Check-In

This is a great place to visit, lots of fun free tastings, $5 wine tasting, or just icecream and espresso. Make a purchase and you can register to park overnight in the lot. Nice espresso in the morning.
