Colombia
Vehicle import office (aduana). Waited around a few hours waiting for El Jefe, but no trouble importing two bikes, no copies needed, no fee paid, no insurance required (by them, to do the import).
We don't have any photos of this place yet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Changed from previous posts
First you need to do the online form here;
https://webazure.dian.gov.co/importacionestemporales/validate-email
It does nothing to help the process, just extra admin
Then go to the office. It’s in a military base, as the first tourists in 12 months + it took them 24 hours to give us permission to enter.
When we were allowed in it took 6 hours before we were seen, despite nothing else going on
We needed copies of passport, vehicle title, driving licence, Colombia entry stamp, and insurance. They used Panama shipping documents as they already have all the details in one place.
Be careful, she used my original vehicle title as a tick list with a permanent pen!!
Eventually we had to follow the lady to the bosses house down a backstreet in town (not suitable for big rigs) where we waited another hour for his signature.
Worst process in 8 countries! Hopefully as more people come through it will speed up.
Report Check-InYou need to come there till the 10:30am because since the 12:00pm to 14:00pm is lunch, and you’ll wait for El Jefe. But you don’t need copies, fees, or any other stuff.
