Flat grassy spot right next to the beach and "coastal" road that is rarely used. Very quiet. Very scenic. Big rocks in the water so not ideal for swimming but during low tide you can walk all the way down the beach to the town center. Nice breeze. Locals say it's the best camping spot in the area.

Incredibly beautiful spot. Relatively flat grass area under coconut trees. The police drove by and waved at us. Some locals enjoyed the sunset there, otherwise very quiet (you only hear the waves). With our 3.5m high truck camper we had difficulties reaching the spot on the road along the ocean due to low hanging branches (from both sides). But there is a little path (calle 4) you can take across the hotel Cabinas Los Gemelas.
Report Check-InGreat location! This spot will in the top 5 of Costa Rica. It is quiet, by the sea, coconut palms to attach a hammock and provide coconuts, a beautiful short grass, a river of fresh water, Internet access (slow): the perfect bivouac! Sunset is wonderful!
Report Check-InRobbed in the night .
I should have known better but I guess I felt Pavones above it.
so made camp about 2pm . put out cheap Walmart camp chair and a camp table , hammock solar string lights etc . At about 10 I crawled in van for sleep . At 5 woke to discover chair towel and table gone . Such a bummer as I would have given it to anyone who asked . So just a warning don't leave anything out even here Now sadly .
Nice spot just in front of the water.
You can surf at the village on the left (5-10 minutes by walking) or at the right also 5-10 minutes by walking.
The road is doable for every kind of vehicle. It’s like 16km of dirt road. Don’t trust google maps for the gas station, there is none here.
4G of Claro and free wifi at the village
Still the best option around, and the only one where you can have enough sun to charge your batterys. The other are under trees.
Report Check-InAwsome place, nice beach , beautiful sunset, absolutely no problems .
Report Check-InSo nice place before crossing the Panama border. 20 km of dirty Road, but easy for any camper. we recommend this camp on grassy area.
Report Check-InGood spot to camp. A little exposed to a back road, thou everyone that drove by waved.
Free, no services.
All beaches are around the village for overnight . Residents of the village very nice . Many foreign residents who come to surf the longest wave in the world .
