Namibia
This is a cafe and cactus nursery that also has 5 sites. All with large covered areas to park under, room enough for our vehicle and pop up caravan. Very nice rock space with counter and sink, private ablution with large shower and great hot water. Table with chairs also provided, and braai. Lots of space between camps. Community fire pit in the center. Pool, fairly clean and most refreshing after our dusty hot day. N$250pppn. check price as they have offers.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
I really liked this site, clean, nicely organised with a pool, seating area, and the camps were a good distance from each other with their own shaded area (top marks for this!) table and own bathrooms and washing line (again top marks!). However the hot water is powered by gas and we had no hot water. Staff did little about this and offered no alternatives. I know this is africa but for the price and after a long journey a warm shower would’ve been great.
The cafe was great with an extensive menu all reasonably priced. Cake was yummy. Staff weren’t aware of what the kitchen did or didn’t have and delivered us the wrong order. These things happen.
Report Check-InYes, it's a nice campsite, but to day we paid $550 for 2 people, it's too expensive!! We have already been twice in 02-04.2021 and we paid $300 for 2 p., it was gut and right price.
The restaurant is always good and prices are OK.
Recommendable! We were here for a lunch break. A nice, small restaurant with a pleasantly cool coffee garden. We were very satisfied.
Report Check-Innice place. on every campside is it possibel to park with the car under a roof. also with our Unimog.
Report Check-InWe stopped for a coffee and pancakes on route from Brandberg. A pretty setting with nice food and friendly service.
Report Check-InWe just stopped for breakfast. Really nice place, good food, everything fresh and delicious.
You can sit in a cactus garden, with shade, sofas, tables and chairs.
Lovely campsite in Uis - who would expect that ?!? :-D
Private bathroom, ample shade - inkluding for your car (fits also with Rooftoptent), table & chairs, Braai place.
Swimming pool (super clean) and the lovely coffee shop with cactus garden.
Wifi Slow.
MTC signal good.
At the edge of the town Uis.

On the other edge of town is this pretty desert garden. The restaurant is also visited by the locals.
The campsite was empty when we stayed here. Every spot has it's own ablution and shaded area. Our rooftoptents did fit under the roof.
N$400 for two adults and two children
Report Check-Inone of the best campsites we have been to in our 2 months in Namibia. beautifully landscaped, great, clean pool, very nice individual setup with kitchen, shade, braai and ablution area. nice and clean. fairly good wifi at the café/restaurant. price negotiable, we paid 150ppn ,staying 2 nights. highly recommended. our dog was also welcome.
Report Check-InWhat a fantastic campsite. We came to stay 1 night and stayed 3. Everything is clean and it works. Excellent restaurant and lots of overlanders passing through . N$200pppn and worth it
Report Check-InGood service, coffee, cakes and ice cream! Hard to find these nice places in the desert of Namibia, so a very nice stop for a break after a long drive. We didn't have a look on the campsite but probably also good.
Report Check-InA MUST STAY OVER here. The coffee shop is a most welcome treat, the campsite has do much character with private ablutions, a concrete deck with new chairs & table with shaded parking for your vehicle /caravan or tent. There are mountain bike trails, horses, horse drawn carriage for a trip around town and swimming pool. Uis is the gateway to and from Swartkop/Henties Bay/Skeleton Coast.
Report Check-InCovid-19 special 100 NAD pppn. Very friendly campsite and the cafe is fantastic (both coffee and pancakes were delicious). Very nice outdoor ablutions but well protected from wind. Each spot has all facilities you need. Nice swimming pool. Uis is a nice little village to have a walk around and get some groceries sorted.
Report Check-InVery nice campsite as described. Carports for small vehicles beside the private ablutions. Big rigs have place in front of these carports.
Report Check-InWe had a very nice stay at this campsite. You have private ablutions, electricity, a sink and a table with 4 chairs at every sites. The manager, Dieter is very nice and helpful. He sorted us out to find a towing to Swakopmund. We warmly recomand this place. The pancakes are delicious, the staff very friendly and the rounded swimming pool amazing!
Report Check-InGreat place. There was no place for us to spend the night, but we came the next day for breakfast. The place is very clean and welcoming. Try to make reservation.
