Report Check-InThey dont whant big rigs. I came with my 10 t Steyr and the men explaind me in excellent english that they wont let me in because my car make damage of the weight.
Report Check-InGreat campsite! Friendly and helpful host Matt and daughter Skye have lived in the area for a decade and speak English, Bulgarian and Japanese. Although their website says the campsite is closed in the winter, they’re open for overlanders throughout the year :-) Best to email Matt during the off season.

Note, some services may be limited due to weather conditions. We passed through in midsummer and returned for a month in winter. Highly recommended!

there is also a Restaurant in the Town, 250m away. Serves good food. around 10€.
Wonderful place where (English) Mat, his English speaking Japanese wife have lived for 9 + years with their delightful daughter, Skye. €17.5 pn/30 bl with electricity (37 BL). Immaculate and peaceful, a real haven with a BBQ, covered seating area, kettle etc. Nearby station trains no longer go direct to Plovdov but Matt kindly drove us to a town 20 mins away where we changed some euros, had a great Italian meal and caught the train to Plovdov return €4/7.6 bl each. Got a taxi back from the station for 20 bl.

the WiFi is a little weak but there is a laundry service with drying and folding for 4€.

Daughter Skye very friendly and interesting to chat to and a great couple and perfect stopover before or after border crossing in Bulgaria. 25 Lev (12,50 euro) for rtt and 2 people
